The trucking industry needs to start holding the people accountable that are doing work on our equipment but not fixing it
The people working on his trucks and equipment and not fixing it but telling us it’s ready to go
Is killing the owners of the equipment and they are giving all of us the same disservice knowing we’re not in a position to come back and they will not get in trouble for actually not doing a good job
THE Elephant in the ROOM Is for gods sake how much did it cost ?? 5K? 7K ?? we wont pee our pants if you tell us .
I'm glad to hear the refer is doing ok. Sometimes even when they say it's fixed you have to go back for something they forgot and for you than can be a lot of miles. /// Wishing you good loads and safe trucking.
Daniel,,, That white frost is a freon leak at the part your showing in the video,,may just need tightening,,,hopefully...Old retired Produce Hauler ('70s & 80's) enjoying you guys videos...Man,, I have been thru some of your kind of break downs,,,tuff......Once I had a frozen load box meat already loaded,, going to Ca. My Thermo King Dealer in Montgomery changed out my unit in a couple of hours with a loaner...Had my old unit ready by the time I got back from California...Hang in there....It will be Alright...BTW,, Your video shows the freon service valve with the cover cap missing..Hope you have it..May save a leak of your freon ...put one on soon........Loved long haul reefer work.....simple load and unload twice a month...
The part above compressor that had frost on it is normal. That part is called suction modulation valve, it regulates the suction pressure in the low side of the system. The big line hooked to your compressor is missing a black stem cap( the valve stem that is square on the end). That’s the suction valve. I’d advise getting the cheap caps to cover the stems otherwise they will rust and become pitted costing you a whole new brass valve down the road. New ones from Carrier should have an o-ring inside to seal out moisture. Should be one on your discharge valve stem too(smaller line to compressor).
Have good luck now, I hope, repairs have to be done, now hope it lasts a long time, pull toy here.
Awesome job on it
Apparently
We need to get a class a mechanics license
Before we get a cdl
Any videos on how to add oil in it?
Hopefully it's running like a champ now.
Never had to replace a compressor on my dry van, or put fuel in it. It normally doesnt make a shit load of noise while I try to sleep. lol
😄
Are you sure??
Usually the frost is from your fan belt not being tight, the supply air isn't recirculating properly causing the line to freeze
Ok is there a part1 or 3
Why did the compressor fail and was it put on a clean up?
I would like to know how much they charged?
how many hours on that reefer engine?
How much parts and repair
How cold can a trailer get? And is it hard to keep it cold?
Ive seen it go down to -10
-22
How does the engine attach to the compressor is that like a clutch
Bolted. The engine shaft has splines and mates to compressor with a plastic coupler
