- Mission 7: Recapture the Cornerian Capital
Aparoids have launched a large scale attack on the capital city of Corneria, using electromagnetic barrier devices to disrupt communications between General Pepper and his commanding officers. Mop up a barrier devices and create a window for rescue of the capital.

I love this mission because of Star Wolf mainly. I like how they put aside differences to really put a stop to the aparoid menace. When I was younger, I probably would have been squealing like a fangirl...err boy at the site of their teamwork.

To those dismayed that the Aparoids were able to infect General Pepper, don't be. They couldn't break his spirit as he flat out ordered Fox to take him out as he'd rather die then be an Aparoid. That made my respect for him shoot WAY up and made me imagine him resisting the Aparoid Queen's attempts to mind control him while shouting "I'll never join you Aparoid fiends! No matter what happens, Starfox shall destroy you wretches and good shall prevail!!".
ryan macdonald It takes an unmeasurable amount of will to resist mind control. Gen. Pepper is no different.

What's really dark in this mission and rather subtle is how some of the enemies are infested cornerian soldiers, fighters and even tanks I think... You gotta blast through them as well
The soundtrack on this sounds awesome
Most of the Soundtrack is basically orchestrated remix of Star Fox 64 music.

Starfox Assault is hailed as one of the best Starfox games ever, it's confusing that Nintendo doesn't seem to understand...
@jmyeen Nowadays yes. However Assault, Command, and Zero were not as well received and didn't pull the sales numbers when they were each released. Now Nintendo, like many other studios, are only focusing on what will be a guarantee to make money (Mario, Zelda, etc)
Corneria is like Rome during the fifth century AD. It kept getting sacked left and right. Let's count all the times Corneria gets invaded.

Damn, the only game where Corneria doesn't get violated by the enemy is Adventures, and that's because it all takes place on Sauria.
Favorite mission of any star fox game!
The Wolfen has guns, right? Use them sometimes, Wolf.
When Peppy says, 'Way to go, Fox! Just a few more', on the game I have, it says 'almost done' in the subtitles.
Where is the salt? We have pepper, but not salt.

This level took so long for me, because I had no vehicle.
I didn’t mind the length of the level, except saving Krystal when you’re searching for that damn hoaming launcher. And fighting general pepper on gold difficulty
wolf was so awesome in this game
Man this mission was so freaking tough on Gold! The worst was getting down to the last jammer or two but then getting sniped or dying to some bullcrap and having to restart it all
hmm to be honest I like this more than star fox adventures. Star fox adventures was a zelda like title which is fine because the game played nice but it didn't play like a starfox game should. This was the closet we got to a true starfox sequel before nintendo seemingly abandoned it.

I think they should have spiced up these wing missions, but throwing boosts or maneuvering for star wolf to do and gave some kind of action command to hang on or something. Also it would be great to see Wolf shoot at something instead of flying around.
I would honestly trade landmaster and all ground missions just to use peper's flag ship that thing is a beast

You know, watching this makes me release how helpless everybody is. If Fox wasn't there they'd all die horrible deaths.

Even though Andross is the big nemesis of the star fox team, the aparoids are just sooooo much more interesting.
Well, not just Fox. Wolf and his team were major allies here.

I bet Wolf would be a great brother-figure to Fox.
Realistically wolf is a palette swap fox, once you start to notice in one game that fact you'll start seeing it a lot more, only in smash did they really change him up
I like this one because this is what star fox is suppost to be but adventures is more fun on some things, such as communication, supplies, puzzles. But i would rather play this one still.
I hope star fox zero has some missions like this
