This is the best tutorial for removing subjects from backgrounds. I've tried so many others, but this works like a charm. I used this method to remove a black background and it worked great for that too. Thanks so much! :-)
Hi Anthony I always make sure that I watch all of your tutorials. This one was really great and very simple to follow. Thanks for the great videos. Pat Hogarty
Thank you Anthony the prodigious works you have been generating in recent weeks. Always helpful and well explained. My skill sets have been expanding while stranded here at home thanks to your videos...stay safe !
Hi Anthony - this was fantastic. Very clear and concise and most importantly very easy to follow. Like many here no doubt, I'm envisaging being stuck at home for quite a few weeks or months and I can think of few better ways to use this time than to delve into your impressive back catalog of tutorials and brush up on my photoshop skills. All the best.
Excellent tutorial...As I've requested you in your last tutorial, part of it taken care of. Request you to please do similar tutorial with a busy background, while cutting out the subject/object. Again Thanks...😊
This is cool. I did this also with a black and white photo and it was done as soon as the mask was inverted, just a couple clicks. The hair turned out beautifully. In just a few seconds it was done! Wow!
Wonderful tutorial as always. Thank you! Question, do you have a video on how to do this if there is not a lot of contrast between the hair (fur in my shot)? Thank you again. I watch and subscribe to a LOT of PS how to channels and consistently find your teaching style to be the most effective and enjoyable.
Loved the tutorial. If I try to copy and paste it into another background it’s either all white or the photo with the background. If I add the background to the finished image it works though. I don’t understand why though? Also in the image I used part of her body looks transparent and she had a halo on her shoulder. Edit: Ok after redoing this tutorial a few times, now I’ve got it perfectly! Thanks! 💜
Great tutorial Anthony but I'm struggling using channel to cut out blonde hair in a dark background. Is the process different ? or am i missing something. Regards
Now, Mr. Photographer, please show us how to replace the light-grey original background with a darker one - and please pick a primarily cobalt blue example to make it more informative. That tutorial! - finally bringing mankind the solution to "the color spill problem" (somewhat managed in Photoshop with the Decontaminate Colors option) would be quite unique on YT. Doesn't that challenge sound appealing? ;O)

Very informative, I am going to try this today. Thank you.
This is fantastic!!!
Brilliant excellent
Wow, brilliant, thank you.
Great video, great tip, too bad having a simple black ground isn't more common. Thanks!
Oh it's quite easy to cut out on a messy background as well.. Just saw a video for it the other day
This was easy though!! How did you enlarge those tiny windows? Is it a shortcut key or just another program that does it for the video only??
Great tutorial Anthony but I'm struggling using channel to cut out blonde hair in a dark background. Is the process different ? or am i missing something. Regards
Awesome !! Should you have a great recipee when using Luminar 4 ? Thanks
one thing you might to add is if it’s possible to do in Lightroom or Luminar. I’m assuming most are not possible.
Superb video, as normal, but totally eclipsed by the subject. Dear God Almighty, she is STUNNING

When I get a brush and use the white mask I get white, not filling in.
Dope content
Ahh yes, this trick can be hairy…well done.
