  • In this video we're taking a look at a fun, small, quirky little mirror thingy from Ulanzi. If you're a RUclipsr or a Vlogger this is an absolutely perfect solution for monitoring yourself while filming. If your camera already has a screen that flips all the way around then it's probably not for you. There's honestly not a ton to say about this mirror, and there are very few downsides to it, because it's such a specific product for a specific audience and it does what it needs to really well. Let us know if you've found similar or cheaper solutions to monitoring your camera, and hit us up with any questions in the comments below!
    PROS:
    - inexpensive
    - easy to use
    - lightweight
    CONS:
    - all plastic
    - top shoe mount isn't enclosed
    - very specific niche market
    MORE INFO / PURCHASE:

    Amazon: amzn.to/2Z1A3Gp
***The mirror is currently ~$13 USD on their website, but did take me a few weeks to get. Almost double that price on Amazon but shows me that I could get it within a few days.

    Thank you.
I just purchased it from Amazon.
I purchased a Nice Cannon camera a few years back and didn't realize it didn't have a flip screen.
I was about to purchase another camera with a flip screen.
I would have Spend $500 plus.
I am going to try this.
    I hope it helps. :)
    Great video.
    Thanks.

imagine adding some black cloth around that to cover the gap from the lcd. theoritically it'll increase the brightness better

I am curious about glare. If I'm fully lit up would that make the mirror hard to see or does the barn doors solve that?

For the glare - the little enclosure helps a lot BUT if the screen is hard to see in person the mirror won't help, so like if you're outside the glare, even with the barndoors, is too harsh. Inside I've had very few issues seeing the screen while fully lit. Hope that answers your question(s)!

@@DroiMedia Still, even with that, the $13 dollars definitely makes it worth it, thanks!

@@ghoulishjoe yeah, I agree - way better than an external monitor and SO SO SO much cheaper. It's been a game changer for me - the easier it is to record the more I want to do it ya know. Thanks for watching!
