I am on the Panasonic system and their app is excellent for adjusting all settings, checking framing, and it has great range through wifi. I have been wanting to upgrade to the A7III and I'm hoping the Sony app works reasonably well. Thanks!

I was actually just thinking about selling my A7ii to get a new camera that had a flip out screen and I think I am going to keep my camera after all. So thank you so much for this! great idea! however for my case, even though I do film myself from time to time, I also like taking low angle shots quiet often, so I don't like limiting the range of motion of my gimbal... but for that small price it can be something handy for certain situations, thanks for sharing this!
I’m interested in why you chose the carbon fiber version of the tripod over its aluminum sister. Is there really a $200 value difference between them? If so, what is it?
For me it is all about less weight and also being able to handle it in the well below zero temps with my bare hands and not have my skin freeze to the tripod. Carbon fiber is lighter but also is MUCH easier to touch and hold in cold temps
I almost updated body, ($1,000 decision). Because seeing the screen is extremely important for me as I do self portraits while traveling. Gonna try this, maybe will need to do a monitor. Thanks to say the least. Phew!

What about for vertical selfie filming, where the selfie mirror is not directly on top of the camera, but to the left/right? Can you still see yourself?

I wanted it to practice selfies with my studio equipment inside, but then I realized that UURig was taking up my multi interface shoe on my camera which does not allow me to use it for selfies with flash photography. Maybe the company can invent something that will allow studio photographers to use it with flashes? I put it on my camera and took it outside to test it. My camera was on a tripod and the UURig was on top in in the the flash multi interface shoe and It work great outside. I was impressed. It made me smile. A nice little gadget to have if you want some decent focused selfie photos with family and friends. I hope the company finds a way to get around this problem. Flash and portrait work is much more important than selfies. Maybe there is another gadget out there that will work better.

just bought, you've helped me go from never using a camera or a drone to using one everyday with my real estate business and allows me to create content without needing a videographer! Property videos or just content knowing how to use my gear is far better than buying the newest gear i have learned.
I bought it to focus on myself with selfies and flash. But since it requires the flash spot on my camera the A9, I can not have it both ways because I need my trigger for that area to control the flashes remotely. However, I am impressed with it in good light for taking selfies that are in focus . It is a keeper. I just wish I could use it for flash and selfies at the same time.

A great way to record selfies and correct exposure. I sure wish it worked with the Sony A9 ??? Thank you Jake!
It will work on the a9 as well! it will work with any camera where the hot shoe is directly over the flip up screen.

This would be nice for the cameras with the flip-up screens too, since you can use the cold shoe adapters without blocking the screen!
