It is so refreshing to see these brilliant, young musicians playing ,you can see the passion of their music in their eyes and body. As a 75 year young person who has enjoyed all kinds of music over the years, i will say that at the "fag end" of my life ,i get so much pleasure listening and watching, Reina ,Toni and all of their pals putting out such Quality music. Long may it continue.
Im from NZ now in Australia . I have been to Ascona Ticino , Isle of Brassago LAGO MAGGIORE . Beautiful , a special place. My family owned a villa in old town Locarno in 1948 - 51 . Thanks for reminding me of that special place.
A lot of people always comment on Toni's guitar chops, and rightfully so, but it was Reina's vocal performance here that stood out, and this is coming from a big AKUS fan. After about four years of following this channel I've watched these folks continue to just get better and better. Their performances are all so tight, so clean, so pure, so effortless.
Yes Reina's vocals were great as usual. But no one ever mentions her great rhythm playing. It's quite difficult to have good timing play cleanly remember all the chord changes and nuances remember the lyrics and phrasing and sing well all at the same time. And what about the bass player? No one ever mentions the bass player and how good he was and how he was instrumental in keeping everyone together and tight. Everyone has their role and this performance was great. Could use a little more volume on solos. Great job ladies and gentlemen.
Can I say this ? I love playing along with you all on “Chordify, maybe I should say “trying to play along with you on Chordify “ you all really make me smile! I love it !
This was, of course, wonderful. WE ARE THE LUCKY ONES because you grace us with your fantastic music almost every Sunday and have done so consistently for so many years. I have thanked God repeatedly for the fact that RUclips is a fantastic repository of your body of work. I'm still discovering covers and original songs of yours that I didn't know about. Thank you for sowing so many seeds of joy into my life.🎼🎵🎶🎵❤👍
I don't know how or why anybody would give this a thumbs down. Four talented musicians displaying their abilities doing what they love is no reason for a negative rating. They do this consistently for your entertainment, and it doesn't cost you a cent to enjoy their efforts. If you don't enjoy their work, just move on. Nobody forces you to watch it. Personally, I think they do a great job, and I look forward to the weekly videos. Great job by all the musicians....Bravo!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Scott Jackson, "... a favorite ..." Me, too -- along with quite a few others. (I'd have a hard time deciding which to put higher on my list between this one and "Find My Way Back To My Heart", written by Mark Simos. I think that was the first song I heard them perform.)
JohnnyBrownell, "... Robert Lee Castleman ... " Without songwriters, singers would not even have a tune to hum along to. (I believe it is impolite for any music video to not identify them in the description.)
Love to see all you peers healthy and fit as a fiddle: the Count of Bass, Duke of Mandolin, Reina del Cid and the Empress of all Plucking Instruments. I hope to see some of you again on tour in a future not so far away. Stay safe.
So happy to see David again, he is a fantastic musician, as Andrew, Tony and you, Reina. A good sunday morning... when I repeat The Lucky One almost 50 times !..
Nicely done. One of the reasons I keep coming back for more of RDC, is because they are so real and down to earth. Mis-takes, squeaky chairs in all! So much character. I also love the joy every appears to have playing together. I notice a little smile of appreciation on Toni’s face whenever Davis plays. It’s all so enjoyable and something to look forward to on Sunday Mornings. But no “coffee cheers”? ☕️
OMG...I had RUclips on autoplay.... the intro caught my attention..."This sounds nice, reminds me of that Alison Krauss song…" I had to stop what I was doing and Come see who was singing and playing! What a delight! Well done!
I'm not sure which one of the girls my ears are hanging. Making music with my friends accounts for some of the best times in my life. When I watch these young folks play I'm right back there pickin along. Great work!
Lovely acoustic sounds amd vocals. Very pleasant easy music to listen to. When l was your age we had a lot of these folk country styles around ie 60s and 70s. John Denver Don McLean Bob Dylan James Taylor etc. A super era for music. So glad to see the next generation continue the music. Lovely musicianship. Great job. I like to jam along with you when l can keep up. Great job Keep up the good work. God bless.
Ladies and gentlemen's that was a fantastic song and yes we're the lucky ones to be able to listen to somebody like you all playing that song like I said that was fantastic and yes we're the lucky ones I love hearing all of your songs thank you
Worth noting that this Grammy-winning song was written by the extraordinarily-talented songwriter Robert Lee Castleman who also penned Let Me Touch You for a While that AKUS recorded. Alison gets all the press, but Union Station really is a Super Group of acoustic musicians. Great job here ladies, made my day with this one. More AKUS please.
Watching and listening to this is like a Sunday afternoon friends and family get together, where you all sit around after dinner listening to the music, while the kids and dogs run around in the yard,
David Robinson deserves a medal for his mandolin work on this tune.
The bass player found the groove on this song. He was slappin’ and rocking’ that chair. Sounded great.
Andrew finds ALWAYS the groove.
He doesn't look so happy though :(
Yes he’s terrific!
100 years from now we will still be listening to this.
We are the lucky ones to just listen to this love ,🇨🇦❤️
3:39 The Mandolin here is so beautiful it almost brings tears to my eyes.

At 85, I feel pretty much the same way. "You make me feel so young . . ."
We the listener's are the "Lucky Ones" with this heavenly music! ❤️

Hearing music and voice like that....ya just dont want it to finish. So sweeeeet !
That's right
I love how loud the bass is in the mix.
Some were complaining, I thought it was AWESOME! Andrew got me toe tapping!!
Agree. I play double bass, and I thought it was great (go figure).
Like the bass and mandolin blue grassed-up ;-)
Covering Alison Kraus takes guts, good job!
Amen brother! And it was great. Alison is one of the best talents ever!
At 74 I’m just relearning the acoustic guitar from 60 years ago. Having fun playing along with this vid!
My best way to pay tribute and compliment these kids is to say thank you to the loving parents for the guidance! They possess!
4 of my most favorite musicians on the planet.
This performance is pure bluegrass, in style, sound and instrumentation
Bass man is like super glue holding it tight. Great job
You’re quite right, nothing terribly fancy but definitely fantastic
Indeed, excellent.
Yes Andrew is terrific
Nice mellow sound. And now for something unusual...Let's hear it for the squeaky chair
Toni-Martin, Toni-Martin, Toni-Martin: equals the sweetest sound on earth.
Elle-Guild, Elle-Guild, Elle-Guild...
la migliore compagna 😜
Listening to this great rendition watching the sunset at Lago Maggiore in Switzerland.
Happy Days! Thanks to all of you!

Everyone knows Reina's voice is super. We are just positive bombing Toni.
Not to mention the mandolin just works so well in this group. Outstanding playing all around.
Look at Tonis smile when David does his magic on the mandolin. Fantastic is the word!
Life is good when listening to RDC✌
Can I say this ? I love playing along with you all on “Chordify, maybe I should say “trying to play along with you on Chordify “ you all really make me smile! I love it !
lets not forget that bass ...great sound
Lovely.
This was, of course, wonderful.

I was just listening to Alison Krauss and Union Station "The Lucky One", when this great cover popped up! Excellent, timing, great job team!
Same here actually. Spooky
It's called the RUclips algorithm. It knows what you're looking at.
@@abesapien9930 no. I've been subbed to Cina for years and she just happened to release this when I was searching for music by Alison Krauss
@@Terabit3 Ah ok.
RCD; the best channel/band on RUclips, bar none.
Pure pure Gold
O. She's so very good. Shining Soul. Exquisite voice.
HOLY-SMOKE, what a wonderful performance. 😊
You wouldn't think that an 85 year old guy would be into this young stuff. You would be wrong. I've been following this channel for about 5 years now.

Never speak of thumbs again. It's not worth it.
Beautiful, we're the lucky ones ! Love the mandolin, and I hope David can be a regular occurence on Sunday Mornings.
David?.... I thought it was Josh in disguise...
This is a favorite AKUS song of mine.

Great song. Toni's guitar is light in the mix.
That right hand bass technique is MONEY. So clean.
Strongly disagree
I agree!
You have to get your shoulders into it!
He needs to stop slapping the neck. It’s terrible.
@@oldcountryman2795 He backs off later. At first I thought is was an off-camera rim . . .
Essas moças, com suas vozes e seus instrumentos muito bem tocados, nos presenteiam com uma das coisas mais lindas que já ouvi. Parabéns!!!
Really, really good stuff. I especially like the mandolin break.
I've always liked this song.
Great job as usual. Robert Lee Castleman would definitely approve as would Allison. This song won a Grammy Award
in 2002 for Castleman.
JohnnyBrownell,
"... Robert Lee Castleman ... "

Love the percussion sound on the bass player
