There are, of course, major segments to whom Trump’s resonating with white supremacy, Christian nationalism, misogyny and law and order is music to their ears. But I suspect that the biggest group of all are those who are simply extremely uninformed and make no effort whatsoever to remedy this. They collect information like dogs sniffing the wind. They look for stock phrases, memes and frequently recited mantras by people they identify with or trust. That’s it. That is the full extent of the fact finding that they intend to engage in. It’s too time consuming and way down the priority list of places to go and things to do. And they are happy to stay this way. It will be up to other people to save this country… they will simply reap the benefits. Perhaps it has always been so. I hope one day this changes and that we care about becoming an informed and empathic so society.

AGE is not the major determinate factor for dementia. The majority of dementia problems occur in older people, but probably bc they have lived longer and the factors have had more time to express themselves. People of almost any age from around 45 y/o forward are at risk for mental failure.
Influential factors include familiar genes, previous life style to include drug and alcohol use/abuse, work place sites and choices, education level, diet and sleep patterns, exercise levels, emotional issues (depression, anger, negative attitude), entertainment choices...even to where people live...pollution and other climate issues.
The more you know about an age related problem, increases the options for self care and prevention. A positive attitude influences it all.
