Why isn't there a modern day superman game?

I think it's because of plot problems. Writing Superman is difficult, apparently, because of usually they ask," What do you give a man that can do everything?" Then like even in Superman Returns the enemy variety isn't that much. The villains you'll face in the game are also no better than Batman's most popular ones.
I just think it's a lack of understanding how the character functions. He may be "invincible" but in Superman - Doomsday he died simply through exhaustion. So maybe it's also a matter of "perspective" and how to make a game fun while not making you the strongest from the start.
Not really, Superman is an interesting character and to explore what he can do and how to place it within the restrictions of a game. It's just difficult to find a creative way to make the man of steel fun to play without making him too strong from the start or have the gameplay be tedious/boring.
@@megatroll6669 a superman game where darksied takes control of earth with his doomsday army can actually work.
Like in Justice League Heroes? Darkseid was the last antagonist in that game and you do face Doomsday in some or other mission. I'll play it again and see where it is.
