Antey air defense system Tor Impact force
SAM "Tor-M2E" is a further development of the well-known complex 9K331 "Tor-M1". Compared to its predecessor, Tor-M2E is characterized by increased efficiency in repelling massive attacks of modern air attack weapons in conditions of intense fire and electronic countermeasures. The channeling of the Tor-M2E complex for targets was increased to 4 (2 for Tor-M1), the borders of the affected area in height and parameter were increased to 10 and 8 km, respectively.
The complex was developed by the Research Electromechanical Institute (Moscow), produced by the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Dome". All complexes of the Tor family use a single anti-aircraft guided missile (SAM), which was created at the Fakel ICD.
In addition to the basic option for deploying Tor-M2E air defense systems on a caterpillar chassis, several alternative variants of this complex are offered. At the air show MAKS-2007, MAKS-2009, MAKS-2011, a variant of the complex on a wheeled chassis MZKT-6922 was demonstrated, providing increased performance on paved roads and improved living conditions for calculation. The air defense system in the modular designation received the designation "Tor-M2KM".
