- I don't know why people ask for apartments but here are my thoughts i suppose.

John Sandwich makes such good animations though. Especially the looped ones give a feeling of tranquility, my favorite is the After Party Loop to watch late at night.

Before splatoon 3 was announced, I imagined customizable apartments being in splatoon. When lockers were announced, I was like “oh funny that’s pretty close”. And now this video exists.
Why can't we have all 3 😌

I’ll start asking for apartments as soon as they add a map that isn’t a tetris s piece.
Exactly bruh like they already add minimal substance so if they were to add apartments it would be super bare bones

I have a theory.
Inklings and Octolings do have apartment or house to live in, but they are located outside of downtown Splatsville.
Once we open the game our inkling or octoling enters downtown Splatsville.
And when we turn off the game they are going home.
Where do they go when I never turn the game off 🧐

I actually came up with some concepts on how apartments could work(granted that was like….a year or so ago but listen)
I mean yeah sure it may cost you money to pay for said apartment and rent is a thing but there are times players have bought all the gear and are loaded on cash or have NOT bought all the gear and are still saving money(especially now you can’t buy weapons with cash anymore)
But this could also introduce to a nice furniture shop with their store owner and they would be a nice addition to the NPC family. Like with the catalogs they could also do like seasonal furniture that rotate per season along with some general furniture. And maybe they can take some steps like how in Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer you get to decorate your room the way you want it to be(and yes like you mentioned some will be meme-y but that’s fine)
Also another thing I thought up was the fact you can visit other players apartments and give them a ‘Fresh!’ just like how you view their art in the main hub. I additionally thought up you could play like minigames and throw a party and an alternative way to open PBs so you don’t have to go to the main lobby every time.
I think at one point I also mentioned the use of a lottery system like in the animal crossing games you participate in some type of lottery and depending on which number you get(let’s say 1-30)you get either some cash,tickets,chunks or a piece of furniture(maybe even super rare gear).
Again this was long ago so I don’t remember exactly every little tidbit but I’m trying to focus more around the more positive aspects.

The only use I could see for apartments is as a way for friends to start private Table Turf games, private matches or private challenge matches. Sort of like a visual indicator for Pools. But it wouldn't add anything new.
That makes sense but also i feel like it wouldnt be worth the development time cuz the devs already have to make so much in preparation for the next seasons
I will think about the concept of Apartments once we get literal circular boss arenas from the story mode as turf stages.
It's too good to ever be true ok but imagine a shifty station kinda event where you do the big man boss battle

having apartments would be fun to have a bigger customizable space cuz lockers suck, and if they thought of better or specials uses for them it would be amazing. it would kinda just add to the world to have something to do other than the fights, salmon runs, or the card game
it would be cool but the implementation of lockers is already kinda bad so i feel like theyd mega fumble apartments

Apartments are for living so...I guess its just going to be a place where you can play home console games? Maybe you have limited decoration but then you can invite friends over to see your apartment and play minigames. Maybe just a Tamagotchi element to feed your house pet too. Decorate an aquarium tank of said house pet. Buy pet food and stuff so you want to keep playing to earn cash so your fish don't splat. There you go, doesn't have to be lockers but in an apartment now.
thats still mostly lockers and personally i think that would stray too far from the series atm. Like the devs already have to work on the main lobby stuff, salmon run, tableturf, catalog, hotlantis items, banners/titles, new clothing, new weapons and kits, bug fixes and more and if they were to add this element to Splatoon 3 or even 4 (while maintain these aspects) then a lot of things would feel even more lackluster

I agree and disagree? I like lockers well enough and it makes sense within the games world to have one. Apartments would be an entire new level that’s not super necessary at all. But that said, if they did add it I wouldn’t be against it. I eat that stuff up for breakfast.
Much like how in Tears of the Kingdom, the house feature is there but not necessary. It’s not a life simulator so I don’t really care how many or few features are there. But that said I invested hard into Link’s new home because I love that type of customization. I’m sure most people didn’t care but I did and that’s all that matters.
It would be a cool feature but the devs already give kinda lackluster updates since they have their hands full atm so imo if they were to add it now it would be severely limiting or unpolished.

Nintendo fans really are that gullible. It should've been clear by now that Nintendo has become notorious for making great ideas and then ruining them in the most disgraceful way possible while continuing to get away with it.
Besides, you already made a video talking about the troubled development of this game. Adding apartments would've made the development of this game and the final product slightly more disappointing than it already is. It's still the best game in the series but not by a lot if you exclude the quality-of-life changes and the meta being better than whatever the hell Splatoon 2 ended with.
Yeah I don't really want them and if they were in the game then the base game would be significantly worse as well because they'd have to make these models for apartments and stuff. This video was mostly me just giving my thoughts
