It's difficult. One can just as well argue Biafra is also created as a reaction to a British creation.
As a reaction to Nigeria. My Great Grandfather was neither a Nigerian nor a Biafran. He was the King of Asaba, a city state.
Biafra is a name, also created by the British to name a region of West Africa's coast.
All these arguments are based of shaky ground.
Our people lived in city states or villages, we had few countries. None in Igboland. We did not have a nation! If you want to be honest.
For Igbo history, the concept of the Nation, in the sense of a country like Nigeria or Biafra, is foreign to us.
Will we return to a loosely aligned group of city states individually ruled?
The Arguments are absurd. Both Names Biafra & Nigeria are British inventions, a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.
