At 68, I'm retired and although I am easily able to travel, I prefer to stay home and enjoy videos like yours. I especially enjoy yours because you include history! Ironically, I started watching your videos because I love Paris (been there once) and you designing your apartment intrigued me 😊

Once again you are brilliant! I watch other channels on the topic of Paris as well as other parts of France (but mostly Paris). There are many that take you through each arrondissement, however, I have not come across any that give any relevant (read important) history, they stay in the lane of tourism, e.g., eating/shopping exclusively. This is such a wonderful way to introduce your subject and a great education. A better informed traveler is a better traveler (plus I love history). Thank you, thank you!

I really enjoy your videos. As a retired French teacher, I love your combination of history and actual videos of the places you discussed. I hope you continue your videos. J'aime bien la France et je viens de retourner d'un visite il y a un mois.

We stayed a week in the 8th and loved the Parc Monceau. It gives you the feel of turn of the century. We would go there frequently and people watch.

I love your videos. They are fun to watch.Going to Paris in August 2024. One thing that would have been nice to have attached is a map of the area and the metro station to get there. Thanks❤ ❤❤❤

    Arielle, educational, enjoyable video!
I feel like I need you to slow down when your speaking. So much info and I had a hard time keeping up with you.
I wish I had seen your video before I stayed in the 8th!
Can’t wait for your next video🫶🏼

The 8th has a lot of beautiful architecture which I could easily spend hours enjoying ( & have done so many times). I still have a hard time understanding how people who owned some of the beautiful apartments/homes lost them to commercial development. Some things should just never be commercial (in my opinion). You didn't mention Fauchon, but this food emporium is as much a feast for the eyes as it is delicious (& pricey). I spent a couple of months taking pictures of the beautiful food in the windows & cases of the patisseries, the boulangeries, the epiceries, the neighborhood marches. The images were spectacular. It is interesting to walk through all of the different arrondissements just looking at these displays. Another interesting adventure is to walk through all of the different arrondissements & look at the panoply of residential entrance doors. In most cases they will have "une belle mine" even if what lays beyond is anything but impressive.

Only like the parc Monceau area in the 8th and avoid all the tourist traps. The worst part to me is the shopping areas, like you mentioned, fast food and all those clothing shops do my head in ( so crowded and the people asking for money/pan handeling is 😬). Great video nonetheless 🦋

I appreciated the information on Le Grand Palau’s. I stayed in the 7th Arrondissement last month. I had a nice view of it, but didn’t know what it was.
    Very nice videography.

I certainly enjoy your videos. I have been watching since the beginning.
The videos on the arrondisements are especially enjoyable because we get to tour and learn history of Paris. It might be helpful to a lot of us if you spoke slower so we can take in what you are saying. If time is a factor maybe one video could be the history then next on be the tour. Keep up the good work.

Hi this Eric from Chicago. I stayed at the Warwick hotel on Rue De Berri. Off the Champs Elysee. We have a street like the Champs Elysee in Chicago. Michigan Ave, but the Champs Elysee is better. I love the Charm that Paris has. They're coming out with a movie on Napoleon in the US in a couple of weeks. I went to the top of the the Arc De Triomphe. I've been to the Parc Monceau, they had a lot of jogers. Ave Montaigne is like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills,CA. Paris is so Beautiful. I heard that thy're talking about making the Champs Elysee into a garden. I love Paris so much. In a couple of weeks they're going to a Disney Parade on Michigan ave. They're going to light up the whole street.

This is a lovely video and i have subscribed. I definitely want to see other arrs. Id always thought the 8th my least liked arr but yiuve shown some places worth seeing. I feel that the Champs Elysee is best appreciated from the top of the Open Top bus. In September last i finally achieved my idea to walk down the Champs Elysee. But it wasnt at all 1950s Audrey Hepburn. At street level it just feels tatty and jostling now. But im glad i got to do it. In December last i visited Paris to see the city in Xmas lights mode, had a great time. Im sad to learn that a lot of those apartments are now fake. I assumed the city was packed with discreetly rich and chic people. So its a bit of a let down to know of the faking plus there are issues of social justice,of people being forced to live in the banlieus,of alnost a city preserved in aspic for us tourists.....but i wont go there. Ive got my fifth visit coming up in March and i hope to mark my birthday by at last going up the Eiffel Tower.
The bit of Paris I like is the lower end of the 6th arr, dare i say the scruffy end. I like Rue Placide + Rue Cherche midi for varied and interesting shops. Thank you for well researched video.
