Rob Thomas' voice is ON POINT when he's singing live. That, my friends, is pure talent.
When I was working as a part time cashier, this guy with sunglasses comes on my line had no idea who he was. As he left the lady behind him asked me "do you know who that was? Rob Thomas". My mouth gaped open. One time I was doing some returns and saw him again went up and talked to him. Very nice and very funny guy. I was also able to get an autograph from him for free :).

Absolute heart wrenching banger, primarily written about Rob caring for his then cancer-stricken mom while he was 12 or 13. Thankfully she made a full recovery. Such an underrated band live. 💕

My friend Danny Bonomo from my baseball game loves Matchbox Twenty especially Rob Thomas. He was late for the school talent show because he just missed the beginning of it because he was dressing up as Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas in the bathroom. He showed up at the school talent show after being late for it. Danny sang “Lonely No More” by Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas on his album Something to Be. The audience clapped and cheered for him. He sang that because he showed up at the school talent show after being late. Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas visited his school and was proud of him. He loves baseball players like Danny Bonomo, he loves talent shows, he loves kindness but late he hates.
Great song, great performance, powerful message. For anyone who has had sleepless nights due to critical illness, or has spent time with those who have, this song means alot.

Jackson Browne was the of life since my teenage years. Don't get me wrong he still is, BUT I soon rediscovered Santana and the song ' smooth '. Since it was on the jukebox I couldn't see anyone but thought that awesome singer sounded a little bit younger than it should have. Don't believe we had cell phones back then. As soon as I could I looked up Santana and found that it was Rob Thomas singing that great song. Played it over and over again and again. My daughter told me to look up ' MATCHBOX TWENTY 'and sorry Jackson Browne there's a new LOVE on my block. This guy has it ALL! From looks too his voice. Completely perfect in my eyes and ears. I just listened to 3:00 am live and its the 1st band I've ever heard that sounds like the recorded version. EXCELLENT! Let's not forget Santana, what a brilliant move having Rob Thomas singing the best song with the best band ever. I'd like to see this great vocalist team up with Santana again. Oh can't forget 'MATCHBOX TWENTY 'MY FAVORITE BAND.
