- I'm taking you guys dep into Mexico's copper canyon in the state of Chihuahua to meet the Raramuri. They are Mexico's indigenous people from this state who have been living in these mountains for hundreds of years. They are also known as the tarahumara and are known for long distance running. They usually win any marathon they participate in and do it while wearing their huaraches (sandals) Up in the mountains the air is very thin and that makes running harder but through years they continue to dominate long distance marathons. Today I will show you their lifestyle and how they live.

Hey brother I’m a descendent of the raramuri people I’m from parral chihuahua and I have never seen any kind of video done on my people you are digging deep down there in Mexico and it makes me happy thanks for this I have been watching you for a while and will keep watching you great videos great energy k dios te bendiga amigo
The more tourist that visit the less chance they have at surviving I think. Specially caballo blanco i used to think he was a hero but the raramuri should be left virgin people
My parents are from Delicias and Meoqui and my mom used to love visiting Parral, never been to Parral but someday.
To day there is lots of veidios on rumary people or mountain people of chigugua . But these is the best .it geting better all the time.etc
And that make there own violines for there musica to etc.
Hermano todo eso lo padias decir en espan~ol.
As a an Aboriginal Australian I respect this a whole lot ✊🏿💯
As Mexican, I'm 100% in solidarity with Australia's aboriginal peoples 💪🏽
Thank you for caring for our mexican culture. Indigenous people! They still are pure, I many of us are already mextizos
We are still México.
We are still standing and always will 🇲🇽❤
I like how you didn’t say mestizo
Ahuevoooooo👍👍👍
@@doperodriguez8403 we are mestizos though .
@@lolal3853 mestizos and castizos are the master race🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Carlos you just captured the memory of a civilization that is in danger of disappearing!
Carlos you a wonderful kind and generous human being. God bless you and Sophie both. Keep traveling and enriching people's lives. Buena Suerte
Que dios los bendiga 🙏
OMG that little girl who sang was adorable 🥰,
Dude this is a fascinating video! The GTA “arcade” game in the middle of nowhere is absolutely surreal…
Thanks man, I couldn't believe they had GTA in the middle of this village
Salvador Dalí once said Mexico was more surreal than his paintings... so.. yeah, pretty much ha ha
It is quite popular game. My hometown ranch has it as well at the local store. Along with Donkey Kong. All kids come to play it around sunset when they are done working/helping out their siblings or parents at work. No one plays games as simple as marbles anymore :(
For real ! I’m a big fan I was shocked 😮
You guys have done a good deed by buying things from the indigenous chilldren. This will go some way in helping them out. The indigenous people are very simple. This was a very nice and heart warming video. Keep up the good work.
I just came back from Mexico and went to the village where my parents grew up. It’s off the Road in the middle of no where. A different group of indigenous people. A different language that’s not Spanish. It was amazing
I felt like I was watching a show in Discovery! This was honestly amazing!
Daniel Ponce De Leon....one of my favorite boxer is Raramuri, he was world champ in two weight classes....he got screwed over by the judges when he fought Adrien Broner.
Thanks, beautiful sights and beautiful pictures of Indigenous people in Mexico. I am Indigenous of the Southwest…
You're doing an awesome respectful job and I love you both for that....I didn't know these people existed until I saw this video. I'm 100 percent indigenous from Northern Ontario and can feel the connection with these people
Volpe thanks for visiting Mexico and appreciating my country. When the girl sang and said her grandmother watches her over heaven touched my heart. Thanks hermano for showing us life
This episode made my day! I love my RAZA! From Canada to Peru haven’t been further south, good honest people, just talking to them is magnificent!
It's really wonderful to see those people by knowing some background information and history of their community living in the deep mountains in isolation, separated from the compact zone, with incredible natural surroundings of various landscapes in full serenity, selling some amazing handicrafts along with other handmade stuffs and farming to survive for their living. Thank you for showing this beautiful coverage, also for your generosity and kindness towards them.
Carlos is a man of the people, for the people! 👍
Muchas gracias hermano Venezolano, por el reconocimiento que les das a nuestros pueblos originarios👌un abrazote, en nombre de todos los Mexicanos!!!
I recently discovered I am related to them by a very high percentage, and I am beyond proud. This video is very moving, thank you so much for documenting all of this I am very touched.
Very respectful video, Carlos shows HIS GENUINE INTEREST, towards this community, in contrast to sounding interesting. Thankyou for taking us to your travels.
Exchanging each other’s language lessons is beautiful ❤️
Carlos, wow I’m glad I stumbled through your Chanel like I’m sure many viewers have! Just want to thank you for the good job and the kind heart and appreciation you have for others I will continue to watch my friend god bless you and your family! I’m Mexican/American sending love to Venezuelans and Miami amigo!
Their dresses are pretty similar to Apache traditional dresses in the Southwest AZ, NM, TX....im pretty sure Apache people are sort of related to them....as Apaches used to roam south of the border before borders and i believe some bands of Apaches stayed in Mexico while the rest in US
Mexico and USA have several tribes that are on both sides of the border, Apache is one, Mexico even has a Cherokee nation of Mexico.
@@tinadraper9143
Cherokee in Mexico, are you sure? Please tell..
Truly amazing! Thank you both for the episode and compassion!
Awesome see traditions still kept.
Breathe of fresh air, more vlogs like this.
Thank you so much for showing the unknown part of Mexico.
Carlos Eres Un Crack Hermano!
Eres Un Ejemplo Para Toda La Humanidad!
I have family in creel Mexico.. we used to visit there a lot before it got bad to travel in 2006 n 2007. Haven’t been there since.. we still keep up with our family who lives there. Beautiful place. ❤
I went to visit this valley when I was in Chihuahua with a tourist group last year. We stayed in Creel and one day we visited the valley and it was beautiful. The best trip I’ve ever taken. I will remember it forever
Great video Volpe. Rarámuri as you mentioned means "light feet" They have a Ceremonial hunt where a team of runners will take turns chasing a big deer through those mountains nigth and day until it dies. Marathon distance is a walk in the park for these folks.
My hat off to them, as you can hear in the video I was constantly out of breath when walking up hill
Great video! I love the food vlogs and such, but touring and seeing the locals, excellent. Again, keep up the great and informative videos!
Carlos!!! wonderful video man... it's such a nice thing to know about the cultures and traditions of other countries from the west especially from Mexico... It say's there is some common stuff between Mexico and India!!! May be language, clothes, food, life styles... is almost the same... I like to see so much of depth in the Mexican tradition.... Fascinating video Carlos... Also nicely explained... Nice study!!!
Just recently started watching your videos, love them... Forget Discovery, National Geographic - just watch Volpe and Sophie!
Awesome! Thank you!
Carlos you have a great heart. Your viewers appreciate that you are very kind to the people portray on this video. Have a bless day.
The little basket is so cool. I can't believe she is only charging 20 pesos for it. It would be like 50 dollars here in the USA for something that takes so much work.
This was absolutely brilliant, Carlos. Muy muy bien 🙏
Such a generous heart Volpe. Bless you both for reaching all of the best out there. Keep going. I’m living through your videos!! Thank you.
Carlos, God Bless you for your generosity. I can't walk away from seeing someone in need and not trying to help. I got so emotional. Don't change.
You have a very kind heart. I hope godbless you man don't ever stop being the good hearted person that you are. I can tell from your eyes that you have a pure clean soul.
Carlos you have a big heart very warm and loving you're very giving person our world needs more people like you thank you for your kindness

I have so much respect for people that refuse to change in honor of their traditions and beliefs. May God have mercy on them and bless them for all eternity
Thanks for the insight of the Raramuri! I read the book about the marathon runners from there who often ran barefoot our huaraches. Keep exploring the small villages and sharing With us. Safe travels !!!
Why ur so late volpe we want daily vlogs my day starts with ur vlog man 🇦🇷❤
AWE!!😍🤩
This little girl 14:40 makes me feel so happy and laugh so much. I have visited this vid several time. She is great/beautiful and seems so spontaneously happy.
She must be mimicking other tourists when she takes the photo.
Luv to have the money to put her through art school there in Mexico when she gets older giving her a chance to change lives there.

There are benefits of being an introvert. You have to protect your spirit and your energy. Being and staying positive and pure, you can't go wrong.
Another awesome video. ❤️
Woooooooow!....Que variedad de arte realiza esta jente con sus manos.Interesante video.
Hola Carlos - Totally different from your regular vlogs ! Interesting to note the lifestyle of the people living in the high altitude! You were gasping for breath for sure ( understandable ) given the thin air , less oxygen & high altitude! I love every vlog of yours ! Much love Carlos & Sophie ! Loved the scenic beauty 👍🤗🤗🤗
Thanks, yeah you can hear the heaving breathing the whole vlog, you walk a little uphill and it feels like a sprint
This is why I follow you and ur videos son chingones.

I feeling the recent content you putting out. I see the harald goat reference lol. You spitting out some history and facts and mingling with the locals so that's making things more interesting than just showing us where you travel. Keep at it bro, your channel is getting better and better!
