Be careful when purchasing armor and don't buy into hype. I bought some ShotStop plates a few years back because they were everywhere. A lot of people were backing them (which they prob got paid to do), they had a 10year warranty and they seemed legit. Then they get busted for selling rebranded Chinese armor, failing NIJ tests, and the company gets disbanded. Now I have plates I don't know if I can trust and that nice 10yr warranty means nothing. There is no company anymore to file a warranty claim with. So, do your research and buy from a reputable company. Not some new kid on the block promising the moon and stars at an affordable price.
@SolidSnake_1776 ShotStop was the brand. The armor Ferro Concepts sells used to be rebranded ShotStop plates before they went under. WPS carried them too and John Lovell even said they were his favorite plates. That's why I thought they were legit. I was wrong.
@conbom03 that's funny. I don't have that issue. I only buy armor when there is unrest and riots happening locally, and that pretty well kills any arguments.
Wish the lv119 had some type of adapter for cummerbunds like Ferro's 3ac. I want an lv119 and all the accessories but hate the 3 band cbund with a passion
I purchased Hesco 3610s in 2019. Never got the recall notice from Heaco or the vendor I bought them from and only found out about it this year, after the plates warranty was up. Hesco never even responded when I emailed. Pretty lame.

Even if you dont sell them, you should have discussed trauma pads. You could have also gone into detail further on steel vs ceramic, not just said “weight”- like by what factor? And spall coatings are real.
@@adamholroyd8862Watch most any armor test, you have to be LIT UP to a point where ceramic would fail before I think spall matters if you have a decently coated plate, my small, dual bent, shooters cut plates are double coated. I sacrificed weight for cost
@@Superfly816 Have you worn your plates for more than 10 minutes? Correct me if wrong , I never worked with plate armor but I feel that such a small plate is not that useful , most of your lungs are not even covered by the plate , anything that pierce your lung can easily killed you , your intestines are also very exposed which are not easy to fix unless you have a ambulance ready to take you to a hospital. I fell they offer more a psychological effect rather than actual protection
Plate size should directly correlate to torso measurement. If you’re a larger person, no you shouldn’t run small plates but if you’re a smaller person yes you should probably run small plates so you don’t have restricted movement from oversized plates. As well as wearing plates does not make you impervious to bullets there will always be angles where you can catch a round. You want to cover the majority of your center mass which is the standard point of aim for most trained shooters.
This shit is crap. Where am I supposed to put my PS controller? The PBJ mom brought me for lunch or the folded up pics of ARs I printed up from the Internet to … uh… “review” when nobody is home?

Am sitting in the same boat with ShotStop plates currently. Can't afford to replace them at the moment so I'm stuck with them.
@@charlieghague whoops thanks. Honestly missed that you out it in the original comment. My bad.
Many people have made body armor videos, this one is a good example of quality information presented in a digestible format. Thank you gents.
Needed a overview video about armor, glad yall made this
Another great video, thanks guys.
tactical jack black
I can't unsee it now, thanks
Hands down the best video going over all the critical need to know info for armor I've seen. You guys rock.
Man, I guess the super soldier serum is real considering how much Adam grew since the last video he was in … 🤔
The first question is: do I NEED armor? If you answer "yes," the rest of this information is more helpful.
Very subjective.
You always need armor to protect yourself from a girlfriend or wife when you decide to buy expensive armor
@conbom03 that's funny.

"Most people dont have access to an X-ray machine". Most factual statement in this video
ADMINISTRATIVE RESULTS MENTIONED RAHHHH 🗣️🗣️🗣️🎊🎊🎊
"It's gonna be a bad day" Any day you need body armor is by definition a bad day.
And here I am waiting for MARPAT spud pouches ⚙️💪😎👍⚙️
YES SO USEFUL!

are RMA plates not good to go?
Not surprised to see the “lunchbox” on the 6’6” 280lb guy lol😂

Probably a dumb question but will level 4 small plates take less hits than medium level 4 plates
They're both lvl 4 plates.
I’m just waiting for ranger green lv-119 to get back in stock. 😞
You got shot in the back in the shoot house?! 😅 fuck man that’s some wrestling with tigers shit
18C Breakdown?
👏
Did you really take a round of green tip in the shoot house? That face looked like you did
Cool video

Do you or your crew use trauma pads with your plates?
The best armor? Eternal salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ😌
Pretty sure that isn't going to stop bullets but you do you
Not nail proof
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's more to stop you from being instantly stopped by a shot to the heart.

It still covers most of your lungs, and all of your heart. They do work.
