      It’s true because a MTA train in R44 R46 (it’s a goh version of R44) R62 R62A R68 and R68A has the old version door chime of MTA and it’s only the carriage that has different sound it’s does not have a door different sound.

  • @thedoeguy
    @thedoeguy 2 года назад +5

    My favorites are (1) Bucharest, whose chimes do the first four notes of "East Side, West Side, all around the town" and (2) the New Mexico RailRunner commuter trains between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, whose chimes imitate the "meep meep" of the cartoon Road Runner. The RailRunner engines also have a stylized Road Runner painted all across its side.

      @@HunterKowald These videos are from my regular travels such as vacations or business travel so they aren't special trips to capture the video. Many years ago I recorded some random train videos and I noticed in the video analytics viewers were rewatching the door closing segments. I decided to capture doors closing over the next two years on trains I happen to be on and those became the first video. I've missed plenty including this past week in Florida when I forgot to hit the record button on Brightline / Virgin Trains USA.

    Actually, there are 2 types of type 7s (1:28) that one was a 1997 one, most of the others are 1986/87 style trains, which lack a door chime.

      The type 7 consists with starting numbers of 36__ have no chime, but the ones that start with 37__ do have one. I tested this. I rode 3699 and it had no chime. I saw 3700 at Gov't Center and it did have one.

    a great shame you didn't have the T68, T68A and M5000 of Metrolink, Manchester UK.
    Sadly the T68 & T68A are now withdrawn.
