    I did the same thing with this bike last week. I was blown away with how nimble, easy to ride and comfortable it was. You’re expecting one thing and in less than two miles you’re thinking how can this be. I don’t know how they did it but it put a smile on my face for sure and I own a sport touring bike.

    I changed my windshield to a Freedom Shield 14” on my 17 Roadmaster and it has a curve on top that eliminated all buffeting. There is no distortion looking through it. Nice Review!

    The warranty is way more than any other brand I think. Indian is coming on strong like a freight train, picking up pace and leaving others in it's wake.

  • @TacomaJD

    The wind buffeting comes from wind below the fairing. Wind goes above the fairing/windshield, and below it. This puts you sitting where the upper and lower wind meet, which creates turbulence. With the windshield down, the upper wind hits your helmet directly and actually acts to stabilize your helmet, therefore lessening buffeting.

    Nice bike!! When the windshield is up is more for in town to block the wind with it down if more of an angle to shoot it over your head. The sound when its up at high speeds is the wind hitting the windshield instead of flowing over it.

    Looks like a great bike. Ever since i had to deal with cam chain tensioner problems on my bike and my wife's bike, I have been considering a move to Indian for my next purchase. I hope they stand by their product and not leave their customers to fix their design problems (as HD did with the cam chain tensioners). On to Indian!

      I had a nice 2005 HD Electra glide . I had some warranty issues which two different dealerships denied. So I bought the parts and did the work myself. If and when I get another bike it will most likely be an Indian . Oh and I tried several times to call HD customer service and never got an answer. I mean no one ever answered the phone. Would leave a message and no one ever called back .

    Re. the female passenger: Ah, the wonderful feeling of total freedom when riding along in shorts and wearing a partial top. Ladies love it. That is, until the bike goes down and they find themselves sliding down the highway. I've been patched up a number of times myself--last time was in 1986 when I hit a deer at 55 mph out of Stanley, Idaho. The surgeon spent 2 1/2 hrs putting the ligaments of my knuckles back together. My brand new leather gloves a friend had given me were nicely strapped on the seat behind me. (Didn't say I was smart.) Point being, bare skin and the highway make a bad combination, but you do get to show off your scars.

    I've got my heart set on a Low Rider S preferably YOUR Low Rider S but I can see myself wanting a Street Glide Special or the Indian Chief Dark Horse in the future. Between this review you just gave, Adam Sandoval's review and a couple of friends at work who ride them and love them y'all are making it VERY VERY hard to stay Harley. The fact that they come with options that you have to pay the Harley Tax for and they are also cheaper purchase wise is sure making this buying decision harder and harder. Great video really enjoyed it.

    • @amphibdriver1
      @amphibdriver1 5 лет назад

      jetdoctn----> The Indian 111 engines have less moving parts than a Harley 107 and are cheaper to maintain and less costly to repair. $1,200 repair bill to replace the rear belt on a big twin Harley vs 2 hours to replace the rear belt on a 111 Indian and you can easily do it yourself.

    Yeah I prefer the windscreen up between the chin to just under the nose , I feel the least amount of buffeting in that range , also depends how far back you're sitting. Its a good looking bike.. The only change from the different modes is throttle sensitivity ... the power is still the same..

I really want the fairing and hard saddle bags so instead of trading in I'll spend 4 to 6k to swap everything on mine and it's just plugn play.

    Nice review, but yes you should have opened the front fairing vent, or check it to see what position it was (that was your biggest complaint it seems). I noticed the traditional mounts for the mirrors, behind the fairing (didn't like the look or function) I also noticed the brake reservoir on the right side, blocking the stereo speaker (will cause some reflection and distortion) and how this fairing combo didn't seem well thought out. Going to look at the bikes this weekend.

    Most of this stuff is just a novelty item. I would set the mode and windshield to where I like it and never adjust it again. I also don't care for a heel shifter. I move my feet to different positions on the footboards and a heel shifter blocks off part of that. I am glad this one doesn't have that huge fender on it.

    This bike is super cool, but it really needs more power to it. It dynos in at just 71HP, and it has a hard drop off of power at the higher end. It's a good torquey engine, but man it needs some stage 2 to make it run with a proper power band.

    I know you like your Harleys but to me, Indian is the better bike; hands down. To each their own. You’re wrong and I am right. 😂🤣😂👍🏻

    102" - 68" = 34"
