My personal thoughts pertaining to later mainline entry Kirby game Final Boss & Soul Boss Symbolism (After Kirby Superstar Ultra). What they mean. & how it pertains to people & our relationship with them in my humble opinion. NOTE - This will be extremely long & is just my perspective. Enjoy the reading. *Magolor* - The obsession of chasing materials that gives what you perceive as “power”, but this power came at the price of his freedom. Physically, spiritually, & mentality. Just flip Magolor Soul upside down. Those eyes are his (except the red one), & the crown has rested where his neck should be, while wrapping its tendrils around his head. The crown is “wearing” him & he can’t control it anymore. *The moral here is Items only hold as much power as you give them (your investment in obtaining them). I love the way the crown has flipped his head downside up. This signifies that the belief of the crown’s power was a trap (Dark Matter’s corrupting influence possibly), allowing it to “wear” him like an accessory.* *Sectonia* - The obsession of self (vanity). This behavior is typically a blinding one. It removes personal self-reflection & replaces it with over-inflation of the ego to cope with internal insecurity. This directly affects personal relationships & removes said person from ever perceiving themselves as a catalyst for wrongdoings. We can see her cruelty towards Taranza; the person who loved her the most, but she traded that & her sanity for absolute beauty (which she sees as control). This deluded her mind into nothingness, so much so, that without self-reflection, she forgot who she was, then “wilted” in a spiritual sense. The next logical step for replacing self-reflective truth with delusional lies is a literal physical death, which kirby was forced to deliver. *The moral here is you NEED verity to move past your inner-demons & insecurities or you’ll die a spiritual death first, then a physical one afterwards.* *Haltman* - The obsession with material gain. It was implied Haltman was previously like this, but an accident that resulted in Susanna being put in Another Dimension made him sell his spiritual self to bury himself in material gain to get her back. The environments created from harvesting resources & robotizing them, while impressive in technological advancement, aren’t the way they naturally are, leading to environmental decay that symbolizes his mental decay. Star dream’s plan to use haltman’s body to break past its limits makes perfect sense. Haltman became a product because he sold himself to the company (IE Stardream). Star Dream seized the opportunity to “buy” the spiritual self of haltman, then the physical until haltman broke. *The moral here is there’s more to life than just material gain & selling your dignity/integrity for material gain is not something you want to engage in, as it will lead to people abusing & manipulating you.* *Hyness* - The chase of vengeance. This one is the easiest here to grasp in my eyes. Hyness traded everything for a chance at revenge. The-Three Mages’ loyalty. His gentle soul that saved them from certain death & awakened their natural abilities to control fire, ice, & electricity. He even traded Void Termina’s full power by accidentally shattering all the friend hearts that encompassed its being, leading to a botched ritual which brought it back much weaker than it otherwise should have been in the main story. *The moral here is retribution against someone can leave your spiritual self, your relationships, & your wants in life heavily butchered. The price to pay can result in spiritual suicide. Void is a more literal expression of this. It just spawns in wrecking havoc, attempting to fulfill Hyness’ wish, but deep within its own soul, it’s screaming to be released from said wish. It’s a victim of the pain revenge causes, not just physically, but spiritually as well. Resulting in the only way to “save” the Astral birth Void is by killing it (which gave it the ability to reincarnate into something not bound by Hyness’ vengeful wish).* *Elfilin* - The quest for spiritual cleansing. From what KATFL’s plot is telling us. Elfilin is the smaller, more vocal, compassionate, & rational soul of Fecto-Elfilis, which is dominated by the “evolution by assimilation”, power hungry, & evolution obsessed soul known as Fecto-Forgo. Elfilin is very happy to have made friends with kirby, to the point where he is more than willing to help kirby defeat his other half & stop Popstar & The Forgotten Land from colliding into one another. On another hand, when fused back with Fecto Forgo, it’s almost like Elfilin has no influence in Elfilis. From what I have gathered, this could be some form of euphoric addiction for Elfilin, seeing as the boss attacks relentlessly, it’s almost like Elfilin relasped back into his instinctual, primitive, power fueled dominating desires. But what makes this so interesting is it’s a normal reaction, but for Elfilin, this almost made him go back to this addiction. But with actual things he has come to care about, like his friendship with kirby & helping to restore The Beast Pack, he gets the willpower to resist going back another time, which lead to him helping save both worlds & helping kirby foil his other half’s plans to come back. *The moral here is an inverse of what the villains before Elfilis have done, where they traded their sanity, body, & integrity for an external gain that had perceived higher value. Elfilin sought to gain his spiritual value back by resisting his assimilation addiction. Kirby serves as a reminder to him that not all evolution is relegated to physical adaptations or dimensional rift manipulation. Sometimes the biggest evolutions start within a small standard you hold yourself to.* *Fecto-Forgo* - A constant pursuit of basic impulsiveness & primitive desires. Fecto-Forgo’s relationship with Elfilin is purely a one-sided one as Fecto-Elfilis. He desires to fuse with him not for his compassion & rational thought, but only as a checking tool to prevent his psychic powers & dimensional rift abilities from going haywire under his control to supplement his desires. His desire to invade & satiate his domination-hungry ways overrides any compassion & high rational reasoning skills Fecto-Elfilis would otherwise have if he didnt desire total control of the physical body & mind they share. Elfilin being forced out of Fecto-Elfilis forced Fecto-Forgo to attempt to prep Leongar’s body to become a new vessel by dragging his soul to his dreams, shattering his soul into fragments, then attempting to possess him. In short, after Morpho Knight absorbs him & gets defeated by Kirby, Fecto Soul takes some of his DNA & this enables him to gain a physical body, becoming Chaos Elfilis, which is a befitting name for varying reasons. Firstly it symbolizes the chaotic nature of his primal impulsiveness without any type of rational thought to filter or guide it. Heck, instead of going for a invasion, it instead attempts revenge on Kirby, chasing the desire for instant vengeful gratification. This constant chase of spontaneous impulses isn’t truly felt symbolically until you reach the core form of Chaos Elfilis. And Here We Are! Near the end of my explanation on Forgo-Fecto’s influence in the Core form of Chaos Elfilis. The animal chimerism we see has been forgoed (see what I did there?) for a more spherical-energy based being where the soul can now be worn (or by the game’s cased, forced) on the outside. From what we see & hear, the most important part of Forgo-Fecto is a random assortment of Lab Discovera recordings that trigger trauma. Truama is an emotional response to a terrible event. After the event takes place, things like shock, strained relationships, denial, or flashbacks can occur. This is the perfect way to close the chapter on Elfilis’s primal desire-fueled half. A creature who lives for DNA assimilation & psychic mind control of other beings to evolve into something physically majestic & godly in power, hasn’t psychologically evolved AT ALL. In fact, its core form symbolizes how much Forgo-Fecto has done the opposite without Elfilin, which is devolve. Forgo-Fecto only knows power in a chaotic, directless way. It’s trying to exist without the small control Elfilin provides it. After having its soul mostly disintegrate into particles after its defeat, it finally evolves in a psychological way. It willingly floats towards Elfilin & lets the rest of its small life force become one again with Elfilin once more. This time, on good terms (as the figurine states). *The moral here is simple. Never let your inner primal desires have control over you for extended periods of time. With rational thought, comes boundaries & restraints. With primal desires comes chaos & unrestraining yourself. While fulfilling that need to scratch those "itches" (or your desires. Whichever one you identify with the most), always remember to bring yourself back to rationality & to appreciate the things that give you the willpower to actually come back to it. Overly indulging yourself can break you in a mental, physical, & spiritual way all at once. We all have an inner primal animal, is that bad? No, but this energy must be balanced with our rationality. You must check your internal wild animal or it will reveal itself externally & spread chaos.*
It kinda makes sense, actually. Elfilis is completely detached from Kirby, being an entity from another dimension. It has no solid relation with Dreamland, except for maybe the Ancients using them to leave the Forgotten Land

The moment he opened the portal to Pop Star I just... That was when I realized there was no such thing as redemption for this thing. I had hoped that maybe, just MAYBE, Kirby Friendship Magic could work. But no. It learned NOTHING during it's time of being locked up. He just was going to be a monster and destroy for the sake of destroying. And then I found out the name of the final boss theme which implies more than just it was a monster seeking vengeance. It was a CALCULATING monster and knew Pop Star AND the New World would be destroyed.
So you know how chaos Elfilis has morpho knight as a part of it, well, my idea for a *ULTIMATE FINAL FIGHT* is… The orb from Chaos elfilis comes down and transforms in to… TITLECARD: *CHAOS FORGO destroyer of planets* , now the gimmick is, you have a time limit, you get one hour to beat both the boss, and the epic ending, or, planets *BREAK* the roche limit… Now, what does Chaos forgo look like, well they look like normal Chaos elfilis(a bit more orange) but with morpho knight’s sword made into a the spear, and the helmet/mask thing as the horns… The finale is similar to the main game finale, but with both the time limit, and it is much harder, but, it would only be able to be fought in wild mode, as that is the ultimate test to the player that they’re ready, and also on a 100% save file, showing, again, that they’re ready to fight the final ultimate battle, also with this playing the whole battle
Really like the boss designs very good mix for a hybrid like creature. Strong themes as well a good mix of fear and elegance. I like the white coloration over the mint green however just stands out to me more.
I feel like the mashup section would fit if Chaos Elfilis wasn't the end... like if a harder variant of Chaos Elfilis occurs and has 3 phases for the 1st form instead of just 2, maybe that would fit the 3rd phase

Huge missed opportunity. *Chaos Elfilis* could've been the final boss, with *(Blue)* Elfilis being the true form as a result of the good half of him. It could've been a fight to keep the boss at bay while Elfilis was getting that power under control, focusing and refining said power to a level that's safe for use and manageable for the time being. Heck, the true Elfilis could've been a replayable boss. In fact, all bosses could've been replayable. Honestly, so many missed opportunities in my opinion. Edit: I just really like the design.
Hard disagree. It's made abundantly clear that Fecto Elfilis is a malicious lifeform. Chaos Elfilis makes perfect sense as is, and changing it up would mess up Elfilin's arc(Not to mention mess up Morpho Knight appearing in canon): After defeating Chaos Elfilis, what's left of it returns to Elfilin, reforming the ultimate lifeform as the peaceful Elfilin.
And you're realized that real fecto elfilin is still vile, right? Even after they fused with elfilin, they still being evil and after kirby defeat them, they resort to dropping planet on kirby out of spite. And the fact that they have a working conscience and the capacity to be good and know this, but still choose to assimilate everyone clearly show that they are happily choose being evil regardless any goodness in them.
If you're looking for lore... Spoilers: | | | || The butterfly is like the Grim Reaper to an extent where he comes to claim souls that have lasted longer than they should have. In the postgame, the butterfly does just that to collect Elfilis. However, Elfilis apparently is one stubborn bugger and LITERALLY REFUSED TO DIE so it ABSORBED MORPHO KNIGHT'S DNA. That's right- Morpho Knight made it's canon debut and... Only made what is most certainly Kirby's most dangerous foe WORSE.
@@adamrhodes9533 what is morpho knight was always Canon since the butterfly is seen in many places all the time. morpho knight is also just morpho knight and not a butterfly galacta knight so morpho knight was probably always morpho knight meaning morpho knight was always there!

This signifies that the belief of the crown’s power was a trap (Dark Matter’s corrupting influence possibly), allowing it to “wear” him like an accessory.*
*Sectonia* - The obsession of self (vanity).
*The moral here is you NEED verity to move past your inner-demons & insecurities or you’ll die a spiritual death first, then a physical one afterwards.*
*Haltman* - The obsession with material gain.
*The moral here is there’s more to life than just material gain & selling your dignity/integrity for material gain is not something you want to engage in, as it will lead to people abusing & manipulating you.*
*Hyness* - The chase of vengeance.
Resulting in the only way to “save” the Astral birth Void is by killing it (which gave it the ability to reincarnate into something not bound by Hyness’ vengeful wish).*
*Elfilin* - The quest for spiritual cleansing.
Sometimes the biggest evolutions start within a small standard you hold yourself to.*
*Fecto-Forgo* - A constant pursuit of basic impulsiveness & primitive desires.
It feels rather odd to hear a Final Boss theme that neither has a Green Greens nor even a Triumphant return leitmotif
It kinda makes sense, actually. Elfilis is completely detached from Kirby, being an entity from another dimension. It has no solid relation with Dreamland, except for maybe the Ancients using them to leave the Forgotten Land

I've never felt this terrified of a Kirby boss in a while
Honestly the fetus mode is disgusting, but I feel star allies is on par with the heart uttering dark spells through cracks in its surface a the weird faces
It was a CALCULATING monster and knew Pop Star AND the New World would be destroyed.

and then with the orb phase it becomes biblically accurate with the whole spinning ring look
So you know how chaos Elfilis has morpho knight as a part of it, well, my idea for a *ULTIMATE FINAL FIGHT* is…
The orb from Chaos elfilis comes down and transforms in to… TITLECARD: *CHAOS FORGO destroyer of planets* , now the gimmick is, you have a time limit, you get one hour to beat both the boss, and the epic ending, or, planets *BREAK* the roche limit…
Now, what does Chaos forgo look like, well they look like normal Chaos elfilis(a bit more orange) but with morpho knight’s sword made into a the spear, and the helmet/mask thing as the horns…
The finale is similar to the main game finale, but with both the time limit, and it is much harder, but, it would only be able to be fought in wild mode, as that is the ultimate test to the player that they’re ready, and also on a 100% save file, showing, again, that they’re ready to fight the final ultimate battle, also with this playing the whole battle
Just remember kids, it's not a Kirby final boss unless it turns into an eldritch horror sphere.

Nintendo rarely makes a final boss that is so enjoyable, even after years.
And this is a example. Everything is such a masterpiece.

This is probably what would play if Fecto/Chaos Elfilis had another form.
It's name would probably be something like Fectios Elfilis.
It wouldn't be a true final boss if it didn't become an orb at least once
funny part is the chaos elfilis boss fight has a glitch which can cause a second one to appear

True. Those are some fantastic ideas! What they did give us was pretty spectacular though. I'm happy we at least got this.
@@everkade That's fair.... I really do wish that the Kirby bosses could just sort of remain neutral in the future..
Nah

The butterfly is like the Grim Reaper to an extent where he comes to claim souls that have lasted longer than they should have.
