I owned 1973 & a 1974 Capri with V6. A European version of the Mustang. Would love to see this introduced back into the US. Don't forget, back then Ford Capri was a dominant player in European Touring series in the 1970s.

the Capri was never a ford in the US it was a Lincoln from 1952-1959 and a Mercury from 1979-1986 both running for 8 model years over 1 generation around average for some car models others last slightly longer/shorter for ex the average generation of a Chevrolet Corvette is 9 years while for ex the average for a Buick Skylark was 6 model years per gen in the last 3 gens at least which cover 1980-1998 mind you through the 97 model year the Skylark sold around 2,000,000 units in the US the numbers for the 98 model year weren't publicly released and production ended in Dec 1997

Chevrolet Cavalier

The first Capri I saw ws as a young fella backpacking thru England and Europe in 1971...so cool and had the manual sunroof unknown in North America ...hope they bring it back with the spice of European Tech and Stylings

The series 1 capri was developed in 68 and released in 69 to 72 . Know for a fact because I had one.
