- Jaime Jaquez Jr. is turning out to be the sleeper pick of this year’s draft. With his elite court sense and high basketball I.Q., Jaquez Jr. is already playing like a seasoned veteran squeezed inside to a 22-year-old body, and with his stellar play as of late, he’s clearly making a solid case to win the Rookie of the Year honors.

It is crazy how skilled he is for been a rookie. His second year he will be much more refined which is scary to visualize
Idk, I think he'll go through that sophomore slump just like Herro as he tries to diversify his bag. Third year, however, is when the league should worry.
He spent 4 years in college so he isn't quite a "rookie" in the traditional sense.
@renejimenez8329 I thought your first yr in the nba u were rookie no matter how many yrs u played in college? Saying from a fact perspective
Jimmy is definitely influencing Jaime's routine, and it's paying off fantastically. Have ya'll seen their commericals together?
I thought it was funny but would fly over some people's heads😅
What i like about JJJ so much is that he schooled four years in UCLA. He has developed maturity and intelligence before he become a pro. Coaches and veterans have dealt with him very easy because he is a good listener. Due to his maturity and positive attitude, he does understand the meaning of teammate, chemistry and unity. He does have the willingness to listen, learn and adapt from previous games. He is a true winner as an important player in Heat.
Its pronounced “ Haime Haquez “ not Yaime Yaquez
AI doesn’t know any better.
It was driving me crazy every time he mispronounced his name.
THANK YOU. I HATE IT WHEN THEY DONT PRONOUS THEIR NAME CORRECTLY.

For real. I really wanted to watch this video but I just couldn’t get past the pronunciation. Unlucky really
Not AI, stayed with ‘US’ pronounciation instead of spanish
We need this kind of NBA players no bullshit just pure basketball great man
So happy Portland refused to deal with us
Facts
The nba needs to stop equating athleticism with hops. Strength, balance and agility are also very important.
JJJ had a 39" vertical at the NBA Draft Pro day. It's not like he's not an elite athlete. He just happens to have a complete arsenal & he has no pretense about being the next Ja Morant. He is a MUCH more complete version of the average 1 and done lottery pick. We had him at UCLA for 4 years. Heat hit the lotto with the 18th overall pick anyway.
If you grab 10 people who knew nothing about the miami heat and you had them watch games of the miami heat without commentary to try to find miami rookie non of the Know it was Jaimie Jaques. Jaimie plays like he is on year 6
Credit to the Heat Organization for developing undrafted players and picking the right person on draft night. Fortunately negotiations with the Blazers collapsed because they had the right fit of players, they always had it. Now they have Jaquez Jr. Who uncannily plays like Jimmy Buckets Butler this team will most go back to the Finals. I hope they finally get it with this team now. Go Heat!!!
Should be up scoring last few games at the low post he seem unstoppable very strange but efficient
Definition of a different way of being effective in the game
Dont be surprise again and again we turned puppy to a bulldog 😁 HEAT CULTURE🔥😤
The way he plays, he doesn't really look like a rookie to me, he moves like a veteran role player,..fun guy to watch,..
He is a babby jimmy..they got the same game. I promise.. he just further ahead than butler was at this time. He is a hooper.. glad he on the heat. He aint going no wear
Whatta beast
🔥🔥🙌
Name is pronounced (Ha-Kez) not (Ya-Kez). But He's quite the rookie this year. Honestly, as far as impacting winning I think Jaquez should be the frontrunner for ROY.
At this time ROY is Chet and Jaime is right behind Chet then Wemby.
he and Mike McDaniel get the best work in the city . bet that lol
I got a nickname for the baller. "READY"
He's Juan Wick
I agree ❤❤❤
Mexican version of John wick
YES AND THEY ARE F-ING UP JOVIC!!!
He seem less athletic but more strength and potentially better scoring
He sorta plays like a less polished Luka
A different way of being effective
39 inch max vertical during the combine. Pretty good!
His looks and playstyle just makes me think what a non-diabetic and non-weird Adam Morrison might have been in the NBA.
Pronounced Hakes not Yakes. It’s Spanish!
His last name is pronounced “ha-kez” not “ya-kez”. Otherwise great video.
