  • Why do women stay for decades in an abusive relationship? Are women taken seriously when they go to the police station? What barriers do they face when they are in an abusive relationship? Will this have any long-term impact?

    Thanks a lot for this discussion. I totally agree that abuse is a social problem , not personal. I have been open and vocal about the abuses I faced , to women I meet , where invariably they want to know about my marital status. And also I decided to find out the reactions from women of different stratas of the society. And mostly women think it's a personal outpouring. Period. I am a survivor and of abuse & still abused . How do I connect to you ?
