I lived, studied and worked in Hong Kong in the early 1990's, way before the take over in 1997. My best memories were also outside the urban jungle escaping to, exploring, taking the ferry and sailing around Sai Kung / Grass Island / Plover Cove / Kau Sai Chau as well as Lama and Lantau Island (way before the new airport was built there). Contrary to what some perceived, I spent many weekend nights away from Lan Kwai Fong on the top of the mountains gazing or on a sail boat sleeping under the star lit skies, sometimes staring into mainland China and wondering how life was there. It truly was a magical time of my life.

I cried controllably when I watched this clip. It tells us that we must preserve what we are left with in HK. We have amazing countrysides, country parks and etc... Thank you for making this amazing video!

Please spend some time to watch this if you love the countryside view of Hong Kong. It is a nice time lapse video showing how lovely Hong Kong is. We always neglect the nature when we are busy in urban. The video reminds us there still have quite a lots of places are worth for us to slow down, take a break, and love our city.
