    If the owner ever see this, and he didn't already have one, install a front subframe brace. Forge have one and makes pretty good difference for the bucks!

    A pretty good entry point into track driving. You were basically extracting everything out of that car. Can't really do that in the more powerful and expensive machines. No doubt they have their own charm and beauty but low price, low hp cars are a vibe too. If only the gopro stayed in it's place so one could see the speeds clearly.

    I'm impressed how this little thing can move but I see too many times people adding tons of power and never do brakes. First thing to be done on cars or bike are brakes and tires then suspension even weight savings before power. If you dont have cash for 2000$ BBK a simple 200$ pad set will change everything along with brake oil and some good lines. This car in competent hands will do good things but in beginner hands the lack of good brakes will end badly. Otherwise nicely done on the car shows how you can still have great fun without having to go into a money pit of high end cars and big budget parts.

    • @Nagim-d3z
      @Nagim-d3z 2 года назад

      Exactly! I think a lot of times it's just about impressing others, as 240 or however much horsepower sounds more impressive than in the 100s range, and it can be done with a few hundred euros.

      @@norbertkrasovski2427 changing to better oil (motul 660 is what I use in my s1000rr race bikes and my M3 track car) will result in boiling points being much higher then stock dot fluid. Have no clue where you got condensation from.

    • @norbertkrasovski2427
      @norbertkrasovski2427 2 года назад

      @@taxi615 doesnt oil have higher what you call clamping qualities to avoid condensation in brake hoses. Well at leadt thats what i was explained by one cosworth engineer... So dont know either i got something wrong or i am confusing something or i cant perhaps explain it what i have in mind. But what you mean about boiling point makes sence.

    • @taxi615
      @taxi615 2 года назад

      @@norbertkrasovski2427 the fact racing fluid can withstand higher boiling points make that it won't expand giving you full braking forces on the pedal. Add steel lines and you'll never get a spongy pedal again but you need to get good pads and rotors. If you change fluid pads and lines your 95% there and it's still on a budget so to speak. Disks are great but for track days and street use not a priority you can get overkill pads under 300$ motul 660 or other brands isn't so bad and steel lines are mostly under 200$ for all 4 corners even some come with the clutch line if it's a manual car. A car like in the video you should have more than enough brakes under 1000$ with everything upgraded and thats pretty good money for the stopping power you'll get. Most likely at this point in the build you as the modder will have some deals with the shop you deal with and can get rebates on lines pads and rotors. For this type of car BBK aren't a priority just great basics are you'll be having tons of fun on a budget as this kid did.

And it will get a 320 hp/ 1.8l Upgrade with a reworked motor. Also love this car. Nice vid! I Feel that a lot. He should invest in a downpipe because the cat blocks the exhaust gas and overheats the turbo. That can lead to cracks in the exhaus case of the turbo. I have that on my own corsa at the moment. Need a new turbo. Oh and he should allways run it on 100 or better 102 octane fuel. That is mandatory from the Opel. Engine oil is ravenol 5w-40 the best for that small pocket rocket.

    Get the NRE-Brakes and upgrade the M32 with the NRE-LSD or with Corsa E Perfomance Pack Parts, upgrade conrods and piston. 240hp will kill the stock internals soon or later... and if that happens your 5k car will need a 7k repair. A catchtank would help , the X/16LEx Engines produce pretty big and nasty blowby "products". The Corsa VXR/OPC is the most fun of all VXR/OPC-Models... good power, not to expensive, easy to tune and very forgiving... more fun than any VW Polo or Golf. And if anyone is interested in getting one get a Euro4/Euro5-Model so you can drive with legal sport/race-downpipes in countries where it matters.

    Always believed that OPCs were great bargain sportscars. Heck, even a regular Insignia with 2.0 turbo-petrol engines are somewhat bargains compared to other executive cars. Turbo petrol Opels back when they were part of GM you could get really great engines, not very reliable ones but pretty powerful for what you would expect.

    Apart from upgrade pad brakes, owner could upgrade rear ones with ventilated rotors, besides that, great little car.. Those have an Ecotec engine?

    • @deadslow201
      @deadslow201 2 года назад +1

      I would guess that the car has more weight on front axle, and when braking weight transfer adds even more on front axle, so you really do not need brakes on rear axle.

    • @SerenaBluee
      @SerenaBluee 2 года назад

      The smallest vented rotors you can put on the rear (from another Opel / Vauxhall) are 292mm which would be a touch big on such a short wheelbase car unless the fronts were at least the 330 or 345mm setup with 4/6 piston calipers.
      They have a Z16LER 1.6 litre engine.
