@LivinUTOutdoors I'm pretty sure it was a badger. Holy cow. Who uses a 20-foot ladder to get down a 100-foot sinkhole. Agreed. The unexpected adventures are a little more exciting.
@offroad801 oh yeah, I've got a great relationship with the quarry there and I dig probably 3-5 times a year out there. They're amazing quality and some are around 500 million years old so...that's pretty awesome 👍

There is a very strong downwind at the bottom I almost lost my drone to it. I was trying to see back under at the top of the wooden ladder in there. needles to say I didn't get to see. Evey cool old building ruins. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

My favorite spot to camp when I dig for trilobites is that CCC camp! Awesome little spot

Wow you do get off the beaten path, we spent a night up there in a blizzard maybe 20 years ago, beautiful area though!

It's the fence to keep cars away from the sinkhole
