One detail i love is the usage of the health bar being johns cross. In the game, as the story goes on, johns cross changes from gold to silver and then bronze. This happens due to john slowly losing his faith. If you achieve the best ending of chapter 3, it returns to gold, showing that his faith has been renewed.

There's this one great part after the hole in Amy's face is revealed, where Amy goes on the attack and John has to counter. Then after Michael get's shot the same part comes up again. But it's faster to represent the increased intensity. And it's John who goes on the attack and Amy has to counter to show that he's gaining the upper hand in their weird exorcism rap battle.
For clarification everytime you die in faith there a screen of john saying mortis, considering you die in one hit, it has been seen so much by players and it has become an iconic meme

Dearest/Pico barges in the room at the nick of time, defending BF to let him get a grip of himself and regain control. Half corrupted still, BF Fights with Dearest/Pico against antagonist and gf Antagonist tries a last ditch effort to attack BF, Dearest/Pico prevents. BF now near if not fully re-cooperated, properly saves GF again. little silly ideas
