Wow! This has had abuse like no other. You already know that it's going to be bad when the post motor filter has tons of dust in it. Pre motor filter in bagless vacuums can't take big amount of dust without passing it to the motor. Again one vacuum ruined because lack of very basic mainentance. Definitely not worth fixing because getting access to the motor is a big operation in these and it probably needs whole new motor anyway. It's just too worn out. Used good condition DC25 doesn't cost much. So that's why I wouldn't bother with this one. You did the right decision to dump it. But wait. There is part 2 coming. That will be interesting👍👍
I got one of these for free off Facebook today and it wasn’t clogged, and the filters were decent and it over all wasn’t in bad shape at all. The woman claimed it didn’t have any suction. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it
I found this same model in gray 6 years ago on the curb. Not sure why it was thrown out other than being clogged. But it does sound a little weird (to me) when powering down.
i just don't know how they get in that condition. our one was abused by my family for almost 8 years and never looked like that. and later on in its life the filter went missing and it was used without it. it still works now but the ball gets stuck and there is no filter.
That really sounds like water damage to me (like the motor was wet at some point in time) because it sounds like some very abused carpet washers I’ve seen, and sometimes the motors sound like that.

hearing those bearings, I immediately said, "Sounds Siren-rific!" Then your slow-mo came with "air raid siren" as a caption.
It's hard to believe someone used that and just thought it was normal!

When you turned it on in slow motion, it sounded like a tornado siren going off
Sirens and vacuums run off of a similar principle, just different uses and air paths.
DC 25s are typically very hardy machines. This thing was severely abused
probably drywall dust or run it till it died i would fix it and sell it probably good profit to be made
Everybody take cover, the siren had went off😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 but poor vacuum cleaner and this is why I don’t let nobody use my vacuum cleaner
you should save it. i don’t see many red dc25s

Could give it a thorough clean up, replace a few parts, and sell it for some money
I’m a serious Dyson Collector, but I don’t want this one because the motor is shot.
Keep the filters and the attachments as a spare for your dc25
Yup!
The filters are key lol
Do you still have the machine? I need a power cord
Sorry, I don't sell machines or parts.
Hey 👋
That's a shame.
Yet another reason why I absolutely hate Dyson with a passion then again I dislike any bagless vacuum except a shark
Sharks are even worse than Dysons. At least with Dyson you can at least get parts.
@@fracturedmind8124 Sharks last longer if taken care of.
Dear god it sounds really bad
