Excellent video! Used it to clean out my 10 year old Dyson DC25 for the first time! I was afraid of prying things apart. You made it all super easy! Much appreciated!
Thank you! I took that whole thing apart - cleaned it out, put it back together and, it ran!! I've been wanting to do that for years!! I really appreciate your videos!!
So happy this video is still available to watch I bought one of these used once a long time ago I could never figure out how to clean out the vacuum head until now
Thanks for the demo. My mum just gave me one of these and the last time the filters were cleaned was by my father. He died 5 years ago! It cleaned up nicely tho and there's a big improvement in suction. Didn't dare remove the brushbar motor tho in case I broke anything as Dyson no longer sell replacement parts on this model. All part of the scam so you'll buy a new model no doubt. Thanks again :)
I think it's just the fact that that model is 15 years old. Most vacuums don't even last that long. It's probubly just financially more beneficial to not make parts for it.
My 15 year old Dyson DC25 runs like new. Suction still lifts the rug off the floor. I have rough collies and several labs who shed year round. I would buy a new vacuum every 2 years, at $100-200, because they burned out. This cost me $500 when I bought it. It's more than paid for itself and still works like new. Best vacuum I've ever owned.
That Hover beats even the new one's.still the best Hover i think and that hole Hover comes apart realy easy.to clean .it takes a good bashing it will last Over 10 year.that Hover
why does nobody want to use a spray water nozzle to clean the inner canister vent instead of prying it open? I know it may be pointless to clean inside of it but it prevents foul odor build up.
I fixed the on and off button the other day and a spring fell out. Now my bin is not clicking in. Not sure where the spring fits into. Can anyone help?

Can't you see it in this video?
I cleaned the head without taking the motor out on accident…how long should I let it dry before turning it on?
