Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video. I also have a 99 Grand Marq, in which the air shocks need to be replaced. Question, have you known anyone with a Crown Vic or Grand Marq install a lift kit with the air-ride suspension? I'm asking, because I would like to put 24 or 26 inch rims on my Grand Marq someday, but I might to get rid of the air-ride system altogether.
Great video! Subscribed.
I’m going to replace the air suspension bags on my 2011 marquis tomorrow. What drill are you using to remove those lug nuts. I see it’s a 20v battery.
Hopefully my shocks are alright. My car is leaning to the left. I figure I’ll replace the two rear bags and the compressor while I’m at it just in case that’s an issue too.
Great video !!!
You likely have cracked o-rings that allow air to leak out. It is pretty common.
Can someone lmk if this is expensive to fix I have an 05 30th anniversary grand marquis that I need to fix the rear suspension
I bought a mint condition 98 lx and the owner told me that if I leave the trunk switch in the ON position it would kill the battery.
Can anyone tell what that's about?
I have air shocks on my 98 lexus ls 400 and i hope they dont go out, but the conventional struts are only 90$ a piece. I'd like some decent coils of course, a set of good coil overs would be about 600$.
My 98 Lincoln Town Car was rising but wouldn't stay up for long. So I brought new bags. The person put then on and now my car won't rise. Can u help me figure out what's wrong now
Did you replace both the front and rear shocks with parts from suncore?
Loving the classic truck with the correct bumper sticker! Todd the retired trucker.
I have this car in a 98. Does the front and back have air ride or just the back?!? Mine is all original with about 80k on it.
For those that read this, at 18:00 you will see the front wheels suspension. Air suspension is only in the back. Ford made few changes to these cars over the years so generally you can compare different years.
@@Mn09lfV6f Thank you
Can I use this same method for a 2004?
You can not " tune a shock" by leaving the mounts loose. The bushings should be compressed to the specified amount in the service manual. And that new exhaust (with a big ass hole in the muffler). Keep going however, maybe in 20 years ...
So glad mine doesn't have air ride. I did the same thing changing rear shocks on my car. Cut the plastic boot and get vise grips on it.
First!
Engine Bay need a good cleaning brotha
Jame Howlett yep, that’ll happen when we do the intake.
@@justhes you gonna do the bushings and sway bar looked you did on the TC
I read somewhere, 'Crownvic.net', that those black plastic bottom air springs that were removed from that HPP Grand Marquis are firmer than the yellow bottom air springs. they are supposedly the same ones that were used on the 'Marauder'. just what I read, not sure if true.
Why did u totally disconnect the air solenoid? I'm trying to figure out why. Once disconnected from the bag, just need to replace the 2 O-rings
