oddly enough i'm collaborating with a pop songwriter on a halloween song right now. we were talking about it and vibes and she's all like, so i think this part we can have like a kamelot prechorus section and i'm like woah you know kamelot! then they're like and this part could be an iron maiden like section... and i'm just like omg omg yes! I've come to learn that the music people create isn't always what they listen to and metal is way more out there than we realize. It just doesn't make the $ like pop/folk does, which is sad. also this is amazing!
Ok, well, that was a hell of a lot cooler than I thought it would be. I really liked the video at the end. Trey can probably make a song out of anything.
That was fucking awesome! :D One of the things I love most about Metal is how well it can combine with basically any other genre and have something amazing come out of it, endless variety.
This gives me the chills that Babymetal gave me when I first heard them. Like its so weird but goes so well together and the contrast is freakin epic. Amazing job!
You got chills from hearing hand-picked teenage Korean girls sing to Metal? (Only for said girls to be discarded when they were exploited enough.) I hope you feel ashamed!
Oppenheimer's quote after the Trinity Test was "I have become Death, the destroyer of worlds", fits perfectly into a Barbie Dream House destruction song.
Watched 3 times so far...some really great catchy hooks here...love the BIG RED BUTTON chorus thingy...when she sings "NO ONE WINS" theres some really weird shit going on in the background musically.
This is fantastic. Trey you gotta do a country metal mashup song next, but like traditional country/western swing, not modern Hardy type stuff since he's already in that space
For some reason, RUclips thinks the thing this most closely resembles, and is recommending after watching this, is *Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them*.
Very cool! I’ve actually told several people to combine styles that wouldn’t seem very compatible but ended up sounding amazing! NEVER live with limited! *EDIT* If anyone doubts this check out “Dancing” by Olivia Newton-John featuring The Tubes!
I think this would be the most opportune time to release a Barbie Blow-Up doll. *looks at all of your shocked faces* That's the same face she makes. :O
Sorry, this sounds like a bunch of disconnected, disjointed, and dissimilar ideas thrown together because you committed to making a video with someone. Not digging this one.
I actually agree. 🤔The individual sections are great, but I also had the impression that there were too many different images and ideas one after the other. It seems more like a music collage than a coherent song. Nevertheless, I bow to the production and it turned out to be a lot of fun. ;D
Well, we clearly were taking a risk, and the reason I wanted to do this was because of the extreme contrast between the things we do, and it's obviously a bit of a novelty, but that's why it's a songwriting challenge. If it doesn't make it onto a lot of daily listening playlists, that's fine with me, I think we did pretty good considering how wild the premise was. But it's okay if you don't like it, I don't take it personally.
Stream the song Barbenheimer (Thoughts of Death) here: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/treyxavier1/barbenheimer-thoughts-of-death-feat-lucy--la-mer
I'm not skeptical. I've learnt to not doubt you, Trey.
why is this so sick lmao
I’m equally as shocked 😂💖
Might be the best ukulele metal song of all time
no question
Yall rocked the fuck out of that xD @@treyxaviermusic
Great minds think alike, and apparently Trey and Lucy think alike.
❤
Pop-based writing for metal is ALWAYS a good idea! MORE pop please Trey!!! LOVED this collaboration!!! 🐙💜🐙💜🐙
Dang that came together so well!!! Final song sounded so good!
💖
Solid duo here

also this is amazing!
Good lord, this is transcendent.
💖💖💖
Ok, well, that was a hell of a lot cooler than I thought it would be. I really liked the video at the end. Trey can probably make a song out of anything.
Now we need an inverse version with the pop parts made metal and the metal parts done on the uke.
That was fucking awesome! :D One of the things I love most about Metal is how well it can combine with basically any other genre and have something amazing come out of it, endless variety.

This was entertainment at it's finest! That song turned out really good killer work!
Oppenheimer's quote after the Trinity Test was "I have become Death, the destroyer of worlds", fits perfectly into a Barbie Dream House destruction song.
Very well done my friend!!
I now dream of a full length duet album with you two. This was amazing!
Dont tempt us 💖
Well......That worked !!!!
That was frickin sick! :D

You get this vibe from japanese idol metal quite often. This is really good even by those standards. Awesome work!
That's criminaly good
Dang it why is this so good
Watched 3 times so far...some really great catchy hooks here...love the BIG RED BUTTON chorus thingy...when she sings "NO ONE WINS" theres some really weird shit going on in the background musically.
Love that chorus and outro
Absolutely brilliant! Commonality demonstrated.
Bombing Barbie's Dreamhouse? I'm in!
I have no idea what i just watched but me likey
Was waiting with the gong. Fortunately, it was unneeded.
This is fantastic. Trey you gotta do a country metal mashup song next, but like traditional country/western swing, not modern Hardy type stuff since he's already in that space
In case you missed it, he already did Djent/Country.

Out of the park,You Knuckle heads. A+

For some reason, RUclips thinks the thing this most closely resembles, and is recommending after watching this, is *Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them*.
That was fantastic! Definitely write with more pop songwriters. haha It's really fun!
Love collabs. Some cool ideas here. Feels like it could use a little editing and tweaking.
Nice, the Reddit Moderator costume was a nice touch too Trey ❤
ngl, i was indeed skeptical at first . but that was awesome
I appreciate the team America world police reference
Holy shit she said Opeth
This sounds sick
I love metal with stuff that ain't metal
it's folk-metal-adjacent, which is pretty cool.
This is my new jam ! 🤘🤘
Very cool! I’ve actually told several people to combine styles that wouldn’t seem very compatible but ended up sounding amazing!
NEVER live with limited!
*EDIT*
If anyone doubts this check out “Dancing” by Olivia Newton-John featuring The Tubes!
FUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKK YEEEEESSSSSSSS!

Best song ever 💖
Fun times, fun times
My first ever like of anything Barbie.
Hooray!
Rad! Shoulda been in both movies. 🤘
Amazing. 👏👏👏
this slaps. It gives me Birthday Massacre vibes.
✌Baby Metal vibes are strong with this one... killer chorus! 🔥🤯
This was awesome😆😆🤘🤘
YOU SHOULDVE GONE INTO A BREAKDOWN RIGHT AT THE END, WOULDVE BEEN INSANEEEEEEEEE
I wish the chorus went “blow up the dream house”. Feels more universal than Barbie house.
Awesome
you need to release that one like you did the ghost and dream theater tunes
link is in the description
Just so you are aware of this.... When I need a mood pick me up, I watch the Ghost song video. It's a master work@@treyxaviermusic
Is it just me or does Lucy's voice paired with the heavy guitar remind you of the old Cod zombies Easter egg songs?
I'm going to be repeating
"big red button" for the rest of the day and possibly tomorrow.
BOOM 💖
Throwback to Elena Seigman & Kevin Sherwood
😂😂😂 love it
Undertaker vs Barbie Girl

You'd have gonged tf out of this.
Reminds me of SOAD meets Bungle
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think this would be the most opportune time to release a Barbie Blow-Up doll. *looks at all of your shocked faces* That's the same face she makes. :O

What, no GI Jooooee cameo?

Because tele shape is best shape for everything
cool System of a Down song!
like
Yeah, a song. Good excuse Trey.
Someone has been watching Mr Beast videos...or at least the person that edits your video's. I'm seeing a lot of the same types of cuts and effects...
Yeah. Pop musicians are usually A LOT better at songwriting. No surprise here.
Sorry, this sounds like a bunch of disconnected, disjointed, and dissimilar ideas thrown together because you committed to making a video with someone. Not digging this one.
You’re not wrong
