...I'm afraid that once you get the PayPal option available, you'll sell out even quicker...at least for a while...not a bad problem to have...👍 My opinion???...anyone who doesn't want a tool tested prior to shipping is a fool...the fact that you will go through this step indicates just how dedicated you are to producing the best product you can...my hats off to you, sir...🍻 Matt
Hi Tomislav, You have nothing to apologise for or to answer! I personally think you should be congratulated more for your attention to detail and quality! Going the extra step to test EVERY tool should be applauded, not critised! This level of service is tremendous and sadly lacking in our current world. This commenter should have ordered a Factory finished tool if they wanted a "perfect, untouched" tool rather than a hand crafted and hand tested one!! Please do not change, keep up your excellent work, both in production and videos 👍 The christmas tree is really nice too 😉
When you started selling tool and you talked about payment method I had never heard about the method so was planning to wait until you did PayPal no worries I think we all knew there was going to be growing pains you work very hard I hope you still have time for your family thankyou
I didn't realize there was such a difference in the way money exchanges hands digitally considering how integrated Europe is with North America. From my perspective, Canada Post has Bean legislative back to work so after a few days the backlog should be cleared and I'll be placing my order. If you have PayPal up by then I'll use it but if not I figured out how to do the bank transfer and it's not very difficult once you know where to go on the banking website.
Hello Mr Tomasic, please don´t worry about that issue! I hope we can order new refiners soon! The informations and all the videos you provide for the community are invaluable, there is this little paymentmistake really nothing! Again: Thank you very, very much for all the teachings you provide for all the turners! You really helped me out so much times with issues i had and now i am at the point, that i already made more money with selling my turned items than i spent for all the equipment :-) I wish a merry christmas and a very happy new year for you, your family and all the turners out there, and of course to anyone else :-)) Greetings from germany!
Congratulations on selling out…outstanding! Quality, quality, quality, you shouldn’t get any complaints as no one else (as far as I’m aware) takes the time and effort to ensure that no tool leaves you without testing and refining before sending. Hopefully your ongoing success doesn’t mean you can’t keep this up. With so many orders you may find it difficult to keep it up. Though I’m sure your work ethic that won’t happen. Your family must be soooo proud of your achievements. 👏👏👏❤️
Congratulations on your early success!!! Please stop apologizing for learning along with all of your viewers! As for using the tool...I am so impressed that you would take the time to ensure the tool will perform! Hand craftsmanship at its best! GAMBARE!!!
Lots of products are sold as "signature" models that have never been touched by the hands of the signatory. How many Air Jordans are laced up by MJ? In the case of your signature refiner, we are buying a tool that has been hand tuned and tested by the master. I would be honored to own a tool that is not only signed but also displaying the makers' mark left behind by the process. By the way, I was right when I said you were about to become a tool maker with a wood turning hobby. Very well done, Tomislav!
A great problem to have with so many sales. PayPal is my preferred option for buying online, so good to hear you will be setting it up. Wishing you and family the best for the festive season, Christmas & New Year. A tad warm for some on mainland Australia with temperatures in mid to high 40’s C that is, and we are only two weeks into summer!!
Regarding the Sorby ProEdge, I use one for all my turning tools, including scrapers. The initial burr off the abrasive belt (120 grit) is very effective and gives a good finish. It is so quick and easy to touch up the burr on the ProEdge that I rarely, if ever, use a burnisher.
So happy you have a "good problem" with your tools. People want good quality and features in tools these days when there are so many poor quality items for sale.. You have put such care into each one that you will be selling out on each batch. Have a great Christmas and holiday season!
So glad you are working to "refine" your payment process. Yes, in the US, bank transfer is odd and hardly ever used. If you can get to it I prefer Apple Pay and the Android variants. I personally dislike Pay Pal but use it when necessary. The fact that you take the time to personally process and check each tool is outstanding. No need to apologize for having and working through business growing pains. BTW the Christmas tree is really nice, you are a skew master!
Congratulations on selling out! I just had a look on your site and was surprised to see it selling for such a reasonable price (85Euros for pulled burr) considering the work you put in to each tool! I should have been quicker and got myself a chistmas present!!
There was a rather famous Seinfeld episode where the tag line was "No soup for you!" Perhaps people so particular about scratches on their tools need a bit of "No soup" consideration. 🙂
That is so-o nice to hear... that you've sold so many of your tools in such a short time. I wish you much, much luck with it all. ♥ As for testing each tool before shipping... that's called QUALITY CONTROL and, quite frankly, there isn't enough of it anymore in the world. Good for you for caring enough about your little company to make sure your products are the best they can be. ♥
Now, just to make sure: When I go to your website and click order I get the page notifying me that the tool is on backorder. However, there is no payment option. Do I have to wait until notified or until new stock becomes available? I did register my email for notifications. Is there anything else I can/must do? Thank you! 😎
Just to let you know, I'll wait until the bowl gouges are available then order both a scraper and gouge. Because my shop is also cold and I'm a 75 year old wuss. PS: When is the skew in line?
Xoom from PayPal will apparently work. Once you reopen I will place order. No apologies necessary. I’m sure eventually all of the issues will get resolved
And if they want a scratch free, untested tool, they are stupid. It's a tool. To be used. Not a presentation bit of art. It they want art they should buy your turnings.
It looks like if you create a Xoom account (a service of paypal) the purchaser will pay the fees rather than Tomislav as far as I can tell. I don’t know for sure but when I setup my Xoom account they state it is $4.99 to send US dollars to Austria (where the bank is)
When will we be able to order your tools on your web site? Still seeing this message. IMPORTANT NOTE : DUE TO SHEAR VOLUME OF ORDERS IN THE FIRST 24H , I HAD TO STOP THE ORDERS FOR NOW.
Looking forward to when the Refiner is available again and PayPal is definitely the way to go. As to the tool testing - I would much prefer to know you have created the burr and tested it, the tool will get scratched within a minute of me using it - so who cares. Keep up the good work and all the best to you and your family for Christmas (from Australia 🦘).
No apologies needed! The service you provide the community with by making these videos is immeasurable!

And I didn't mean to reply to this comment, it's early. Sorry.
We will all be here ready to make purchases when it gets all sorted out. No worries. Joel
So glad this is turning out this way. Looking forward to when PayPal is implemented.
Really like that Christmas tree

I agree wholeheartedly! It might be a fun addition if Tomislav left a little dust on the scarper when he places them in the shipping package.
Glad to hear you did so good with them ill be buying 1 at some point. And love the little tree thanks Thomas
I’m looking forward to PayPal being activated! You should be very proud of what you’ve accomplished with this excellent refining tool.
So pleased for you glad sales are going well Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
I’m happy for you selling out so quick. I will order one soon. Happy holidays
I'm really happy for you for the amount of sales you've had. Well done.
The tree looked great.
An hour and a half? That is awesome! :)
I look forward to seeing when a skew gets released

Beautiful, I've never seen that technique before, really nice.
I like the Christmas tree done that way.
I use sorby pro edge to sharpen all chisels and scrapers, works fine.

This is dead on. And fun.
Very nice Christmas 🎄 👌
Hey, one mistake every couples years ain't bad! I hope you sell thousands of tools. Merry Christmas..

Loved this tree.. cool work mate.. merry christmas to you .... Max
Really enjoy watching your videos. When using the skew, where is the tool rest located?
Thankyou for doing the videos.
What a lovely little Christmas tree. Good luck on the Paypal and further sales!
What speed are you turning the Christmas tree?

When you get the PayPal payment up and running, let me know so I can get my order completed. Cheers, Tom
I’m still for Apple or Android Pay. Easiest.
With PayPal, make sure you add processing fees to the cost. Otherwise you loose out and make less.
And if they want a scratch free, untested tool, they are stupid. It's a tool. To be used. Not a presentation bit of art. It they want art they should buy your turnings.

@@Kosh42EFGI’d be happy with the prototype he has been using for months. So disappointing to hear him have to address that.

No hurry
