Thanks for posting this one. Very cool to see. Poor Vinny throws a silly pick 6 right before the half if memory serves me correctly. Would love to watch that week 1 match up between TB and Detroit from ‘90 if anyone has available.
It was really Hugh Cleverhouse's fault that the Bucs were bad for mostly bad under his ownership. He was super cheap and ran off guys like Steve Young and Doug Williams.
Real disappointing year for both teams. The Bucs got off to a pretty good start, going 4-2 to start the season with 2 victories against the Lions, 1 against the Vikings and one against the Packers......they then went 2-8 to finish the season, Ray Perkins was fired halfway through and the team completely imploded. The Rams were in the NFC Championship game the year prior. They completely fell off in 1990, going 5-11. They did manage to hand the Niners their first loss of the season (Niners were 10-0 until they faced the Rams). But both teams fell short of expectations, especially the Rams since this would start a horrible decade for them......until some guy named Kurt Warner (not Curt Warner, who is one of the Rams' RBs in 1990) got the start and led the team to a SB victory in 1999.
Jiggetts was an underrated analyst.
Besides being part of CBS’ NFL announce team in 1990, Brad Nessler and Dan Jiggetts also was the network’s number 2 college football announce team.
Oh those Buccaneers

It's here on YT.
That’s the week 3 match up in TB. Week 1 upset by the Bucs in Detroit is not posted, just the highlights.
@@gordo2624 I've got that game. Let me see if I can post it or I will send to the OP here and he can post it.
Appreciate that Rusty!!!! Would be very cool to see…
The Bucs basically ran a junior high offense
Some great cheerleader shots!
0:01 loved this cbs opening only used in 90 and 91
I remember it so well myself, not my favorite but pleasantly uplifting
The Bucs proved once again that no matter what happens, they will never be a good team under Ray Perkins. That man literally worked the team to death.
Well, the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and the Minnesota Vikings hated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Between 1990 and 1991, James Brown and Brad Nessler are play-by-play partners with NFL on CBS.

Between 1987, 1990 and 1993, NFL on CBS analyst Dan Jiggetts teamed up with either Brad Nessler or James Brown.
He teamed up with Tim Ryan in 1988 and Tim Brant in 1989.
Rams vs Buccaneers back on CBS since 1990
Bucs should have kept Chandler and traded Vinny. But Culver house probably loved Vinny.
