Your build skills are excellent. I miss your Fallout 4 builds. My favorite was Abernathyville. It's too bad there is such a limited build size in 76. +1

I like how you integrate the environment into your build. I would not have thought of using a small overhang of rock like that as a roof for a bed.
I love this build! It looks so inviting. Using oil lamps instead of electricity was definitely the way to go.

gorgeous build, looks very natural, like it's meant to be in the game.
Those small rock overhangs are generally called "rock shelters" after the fact that they were used as such by people going all the way back to prehistoric times. Lovely build, and the natural lighting complements the setting well.
I never see build like these in my game-play. I only see boring shacks or the physics-breaking-tree-house sort of building that floats in the sky supported by one set of stairs. Of course, I have a shack until I get more building plans and spend some time re-building.
My friend and I just started playing yesterday. I'm hooked. And very excited to get into base building. This one is just lovely 😊

It reminds me of a build I did in vault 88 in one of the collapsed train tunnels in the main cavern. Multi-stories platforms that were smuggled into them

Really nice :-) I like how you use the "shack" walls in a setting like this, it looks more "natural" that some of the others would.
By the way, is it just me or does that Atom Store alarm clock look a lot like a toaster?

If you want a nice build location there's an actual cave you can build in near the top of the map it's somewhere between the ammo building workshop and the top right fissure.

I am keeping my eye out for actual caves to build in. I've found a couple, but none of them will work for what I want to do. I don't think I've found the one you mentioned though.
Yeah this one's a little on the small side, there's a line of mountains on the map in the top right it's in the mountain icon farthest to the left in that strand of mountains. I went there today it seems they updated the game to were you can't remove certain things inside which is a shame, there's also two entrances into the cave. IDK maybe you can still do something neat there if you mess around with the placement just watch out for the fissure to the east.
Whenever I try setting up the foundation, I can’t place the end piece by the wood (the plywood panel that is already in the game). I am setting everything else right. Why won’t it work?
