I like the small builds, they're a lot easier to make "lore friendly" and you can generally fit them in more interesting places. You don't have to have the stairs in the back, though. You can add the pillars to the porch using the regular method, then remove the floor pieces you used and replace them with roof pieces, which don't need the stairs.
I know this video is over a year old now, but, i really enjoy seeing how other people are crazy creative. I also have a thing for small constructions. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Love your stuff. I actually used these on the river at the mouth of the lake in sanctuary. Building these in fallout 4. The first I put a little dock with a boat and a little shed in the back for generators. Still decorating the other two. Going to set up a communal bathroom. Behind them. Thanx for doing what you do!!
Those look fun to build. I do see an advantage to the half-open house. Whether you put roofs or floors on the top, having a flat roof and the small size of the build means that you can place several turrets around the top easily without killing your build budget. It would work even better if you used roof pieces, since then no one could get up there, except for players with marsupial mutation.
-- 2:00 - You can place the 'skinny' power armor station right in the middle of the work room, where the blue mat/rug is. You'd be surprised how easily you can still move around.
As a new player to this game in the series I found this video very useful! I built a camp when I bought a workshop only to find it all gone when I returned! I am at level 48 now & tried many times to build another camp but it wouldn't work for some reason - then by accident it popped down my generator on the side of a steep hill & will cost 30 caps to move it. How do you move a camp to a different area of the map?
You just open your pip-boy and press the button, which is indicated at the bottom of your pip-boy screen. Only your personal camp will remain intact between play sessions. The public workshops are not places you want to build permeant stuff, since the server you log into each time is random, and you will likely never log back into the same one ever again. So you will lose what you build. But your personal camp will go with you to each new server.
You say you can't snap steel I beams to foundations and I also thought that was so.... until you built the stilts house and I beams where attaching to foundation the stairs were on.
Building one: You can put half floors out from your current roof. The Beams will snap to the half floors and you can remove the floors one by one and replace it with roof pieces.
For that first one, I'd put some lawn chairs on the roof and a table and just rp as it's the hangout area. And oh I actually built my tree house camp there.
Cool, I love tiny portable builds. 👍🏽 Edit: Is my like sticking? Likes have been mysteriously disappearing for the past week or so, all over YT on a variety of different channels. . . (Also in case anyone else is having this person with disappearing likes, I'm subbed to this channel and have the bell turned on, but likes can disappear on channels I'm not subbed to too. So I'm baffled what's causing it?)
Should have put a power armor station up top so the steps have more of a purpose then 76s building flaws. If we believe a red wooden door will stop big green mutants and killer robots then that roof should hold power armor.
love the homes but where did you find the little bunny that you have in them? I would love to have it in my base. I have a room totally for the bears and cats lol
Hey👋🏼I'm a new player to fallout 76 and I wanna build this lean-to house but I want it exactly like yours because it looks amazing. Anyways I am curious what the plan for your walls and door is called "plan/blueprint" I'm not sure what it's called...I'm asking this because I dont have them unlocked and it doesn't tell me how to get them
Hi there! The plan for the old metal walls that I use in this video is called the "Warehouse Building Set". I don't believe that there are any in-game vendors that sell this plan, although I may be wrong (they've added a lot of new vendors since the last time I needed to buy a plan). But it's not a difficult plan to acquire nonetheless. This plan can be earned as a reward by claiming and defending public workshops. You will always earn one random plan from each of these events, and there is a high chance it will be a build set plan. Failing that, there's a good chance you might find it in another player's vendor. Good luck!
I tried building my improvised version of the Stilt House where I added extra walls to the front porch to make the inside bigger and for some reason when I add doors there is an error saying that it needs support.
This is a bug that can usually be fixed by exiting the build menu and then going back in. It doesn't always work though. But if you know for a fact that the thing should fit where you're trying to place it, like putting a door in a door frame, then try the same door in a different door frame, or a different door in the original frame until something works. Sometimes you just have to trick the system into working.
Where she put that solid rectangle floor piece on the third building keeps saying it doesn't have any support. Is there any way i can fix this please help lol

Howdy neighbour lol they look really good, especially the lean to house, that's my favourite.

I used two of these for my Junktown camp. Love it, thanks
These will come in handy since, I like to have guest homes!! Thanks

I’ve been looking for a camp that I can use for a pop up shop. I really like these, especially the first one.
Agreed. I'm gonna make something similar, but with a patio on the flat roof. :)
Cant wait to try out that half open house. Very nicely done
Built the first one . serves me well . Moved ( fairly ) easily . makes most camps look wasteful :)

with the first house, you could put two 2-by-1 rooms upstairs and the structure could serve as a small apartment "complex".
Nice builds!! I would definitely use these for my camp if it weren’t for my “go big or go home” style of building :)
I will definitely use the first one. Thanks👍
I like the first one built. The 2x3. I will.end up using it for my stealth melee build character
It was real funny that right at the end of the video the pipboy comes on screen and mentions your dehydrated. Still great vid as always
Really good video, nice builds, awesome realistic wasteland applachia feel...and No floating builds lol NICE JOB!!!

I do miss building on the coast like in fo4!

Theee first is my favorite
I love your builds. So scrappy. :)
Just had to sub to you, amazing video!
Very cool. On thing I noticed I move my camp alot
Im with you on floating houses. They look dumb. Only exception would be a UFO build.
Building one: You can put half floors out from your current roof. The Beams will snap to the half floors and you can remove the floors one by one and replace it with roof pieces.
Hm, I never thought of doing that. I'll have to try it next time, thanks!
lightboxes use too much power ..think todd howard would fix that shit soo you dont have to make fusion gen to run a decent design
For that first one, I'd put some lawn chairs on the roof and a table and just rp as it's the hangout area. And oh I actually built my tree house camp there.
This was a year ago?!?! Update video?? Love number 2 I’d probably put stairs inside and use the loft as a bedroom!

Unfortunately there's no way I can check to see who has liked the video or not. RUclips doesn't tell me the names of people who like or dislike.
Awsome video thank you
Thank you
These are great!
Can you put potted plants in your "storage loft" in house #2? That would look cool.

thought you could put roofs in and than the floor startet snapping onto them back in the days

I don’t blueprint, I just store each building piece and reassemble at a new location, since a blueprinted building never fits the terrain anyways.
Anywayz I likes them pretty cool
Great Video. I really like the first one and have copied it. Hope it's OK:D.
Would the stilt house one still work in 2023? I am a bit late to the party, but keep getting the floating object error

Where do u get this type of metal walls
On the first house in the tour once the beams are in place can't you then remove the upper floors and put roof pieces in their place?
Also you kept calling that first building a square, but it's a rectangle.

This is amazing, sub
I can't for the life of me get the half railing at 28:18 to snap. I tried putting it down first and it just stays red. 😭😭
So im2 years late but cant place the little fences as they need support.....sigh [camp 3]
