  • Acting illuminates how we live. If your career plans -- as well as your life plans -- include interacting with other human beings, an acting class is great preparation for facing the world's challenges.
Ann Woodworth | Associate Professor at Northwestern University in Qatar | 35 years of experience in teaching acting, mime, and movement | Founding member of BTE | Received invitations to work with Teatro Cadafe and CNDanza in Caracas, British/American Drama Academy and members of the Berliner Ensemble and Moscow Art Theatre.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self- organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

This video illuminates life lessons in very poignant and direct ways...using the mantras, "Who am I? Where do I want to go [who do I want to be]? and how am I going to get there?" Ann introduces us to a guideline for making life's important decisions.

Interesting lecture. Makes me think about the relation between acting and the social sciences. Might acting one day become an actual science? Something to think about.
