Long time viewer and always look forward to the next video. Nice work mate. Just a super nit-picky thing tho. Maybe tone down the music so that it matches the voice level? Cheers.
Been watching your videos and i clicked subscribed. Might want to fit a hubcenrtric spacers on your steel rims to center you installation. This will get rid of wiggle on high speeds on paved roads.
Nice video mate, but need to sort your sound out. Loud during music, quite while you speak. Also don’t put copper anti seize on alloy studs. Copper + alloy + steel causes reactions and can cause things to seize. The anti seize also acts as a lubricant and will cause you to over tighten and stretch the studs. Clean the threads and put the nuts on dry. They won’t seize or strip if done correctly
Can never go wrong with Sunraysia rims, the black really make it pop now. By the way, after 7 months waiting I'm finally driving my GLX-R, gunmetal grey with black rims, love it. The ironman bulbar is really nice.
I changed my MR Triton 18” rims to steel rims with longer nuts.. no need to change the studs.. if you have 18” alloys trial fit steel as 16” won’t fit over the brake calliper on some rims
@@mrtriton5405 Hi MrTriton, when i changed to a front bar, the guys that fitted it called me. Informed me of the drop i got (about 20-25mm too). Then went through with me about the suspension sagging over a period of time. (i would have to replace at some point when the sag gets too bad) . So i got a suspension upgrade. Went only 30mm lift (i wanted std ride height, but nowhere did uprated springs with std ride height) 50kgs constant on the front just enough to cover my front bar. Bar weighs 70Kgs, they removed 20Kgs (had factory nudge bar), so 50Kgs being the difference. It was easier for them to fit the new suspension setup on the front whilst the bumper assembly was off. Easier access, saved a bit on labour, and due to getting bar and suspension done, got quite a bit of discount on the parts too. so may be worth talking to them about a discount.
I have a GLS triton currently with 18"alloy. I was looking to reduce the wheel size and fit bigger off road tyres. I don't want to get a lift if i don't have to. What are peoples thoughts?
Just found your channel and I really like your commonsense approach to things. Can I just ask a question on another subject? Is it possible to fit recovery points without a bull bar? I am finding it difficult to find this information out. Thanks.
Thanks mate! From what I understand you can't because the recovery points need to be bolted to the chassis but the front bumper is in the way. I've previously been recovered from the tiedowns using a equaliser strap and a gentle pull but I wouldn't do that unless absolutely needed 👍
hello i have a 2004 triton 4x2 which has 185r/14c stock . i want to fit a wider tyre and a mag/ sunraiser , what can i use ? say a stock mag of a different model ? cheers
Like your videos. How about your spare? I'm running into the issue of not having enough room under the tub to fit mine as it sits on the exhaust. Did you have the same issue?

They're great cars mate! All the best 👍
Hi mate I just have question
What you think ?
can I fit 265 instead of 245 with same offset?
Awesome.e work mate!! Keep up the good work🤙🤙🤙

Just wondering, the old rims would of been 7 inch wide I assume,
Where the new ones 7 or 8s??
Nice one!
Nice video mate ! ARB telling me i should get a lift with bullbar installation, do you think it’s needed ?
Only dropped the front by 20mm or so for me. I'd say it's not a necessity 👍

You can fit 265/75r16 on Tritons
The bore of the wheel takes the load, your new wheel bore is larger, the studs are now taking the load. This is dangerous.
So 265/70/16 is 30.5 inch tyres I thought you said on your other video they were 33’s? and affected the power? Like the videos thanks for sharing
Bigger tyre, greater circumference so larger distance travelled per rotation. What did you do to your speedo to become accurate?
From factory the Speedo is normally anywhere from 5 to 10km/h slower so the tyres may (or may not) Make it more accurate 👍
@@mrtriton5405 if you use Waze (for example) it’s gps speed should help as a ‘guide’ as well.
What’s your fuel economy like, how many kms per tank
About time 😂😂💥💥
I got these Dotz Dakar with offset -30 and a 255 75 17 BFG MT Tire. It doesnt fit at the front fender. you have to cut a lot
So much better 🙌
Absolutely!
Can you use factory suspensions to lift up a bull bar weight wise ?

just what I am looking for, wanted to change my stock steel rims to 265 70 17.
Beast!
Thew new shoes look good!

So what r u doing about the speedo?

Haven't got a spare but I'd hope it'd fit!
@@mrtriton5405 cheers. Best of luck and I hope you don't run into the same problem.
Try putting it in with no air, just gotta carry a compressor
@@alexdebruin7454 interesting idea 🤔
Do the front tyres scrub without lift
Nah they fit well 👍
Any scrubbing mate? I don’t have a lift and I was wanting to fit the same size wheel/tyre combo? Cheers
No rubbing on mine mate! 265/70/R16
@@mrtriton5405 Any idea what offset these wheels are?
about time lol
I only watch the channel to see the progress of the beard 😉 on a serious note great channel mate
Thanks! Yeah the beards not quite at the same level as Tyler Thompsons 🤣
Do you think a 265/75/16 would fit without scrubbing?
A friend if mine has them and has no issues 👍
@@mrtriton5405 and that’s on the GLX?
@@michaelpap8307 Correction, they had 17 inch rims. This was on a GLX-plus. Not confident 16inch rims will fit
I run 16x8 +22 steel rim with 265/75/16 hankook Dynapro AT. No issues what so ever. GLX+ stock suspension
@@mrtriton5405 did this mess add any gutless ness?
Bore on the wheels are way bigger that the hub. Not a great idea!
I've recent had a wheel aligment done and they sourced some spigot rings for me 👍 cheers for the heads up!
Wonder if ill get a "loved" comment too..
