I want a Disney+ show called The Invaders. Here’s the pitch: Steve Rogers has finished putting back the Stones and he fixed the timelines. He is currently living with Peggy Carter when she convinces him that he has to save his friend and protect the innocent victims of the war. He goes to the Hydra base where Bucky is being held and saves him from all those years of brainwashing and torture. Steve has an almost perfect memory (as shown in First Avenger) which he uses to recall/predict many important enemy bases and invasions. Steve and Bucky work together to invade enemy lines, take down bases, and to stop Axis attacks before they even happen. In one of the early episodes, the duo goes on a particularly significant mission, they discover a Hydra fire-drone prototype titled 𝙳𝚒𝚎 𝙼𝚎𝚗𝚜𝚌𝚑𝚕𝚒𝚌𝚑𝚎 𝙵𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚕. They take the prototype to Howard Stark and his colleague Prof. Phineas T. Horton, who modify the robot to become the sentient android Human Torch. The Human Torch soon joins the group on all their missions and the trio is given the codename Tʜᴇ Iɴᴠᴀᴅᴇʀs. The opposition eventually takes notice of the team’s activities and they send the special task force Tʜᴇ Sᴜᴘᴇʀ-Axɪs to stop them. As the Invaders continue their adventures, they could team up with characters such as Union Jack, Spitfire, Azzuri’s Black Panther, James Falsworth’s Captain Britain, Wolverine, Jack Fury, Namor, and a myriad of iconic heroes from the early days of Marvel. This show would give a spotlight to many obscure Marvel Characters and expand upon the idea of alternate timelines. I just think this premise could open up so many amazing opportunities.

Nando, I mean this as a compliment. But you keep reminding me of someone from your looks (Not Justin Hammer.... #Hammerdance), I just couldn't place it. Then I just got off watch Terminator 2 yesterday night and then I saw the T-1000 stabbing John's foster dad (and his poor carton of milk...) then it clicked me! You look like that guy Xander Berkeley when he was in his 90s roles. Great character actor....
But anyway, after watching The Terminator series again, do you think you can one day create your idea of a Terminator 3 rewrite just to get fans minds off of Rise of the Machines and Dark Fate), please? Because with all your ideas, why not throw in something more nostalgic like Terminator and see what could have been done to save such a failure of a franchise?

Chthon was the real villain. You don't introduce the Darkhold, Chaos Magic, Blade, and Wundagore Mountain, if you're not going to use Chthon. The showrunner said the Darkhold was trying to stop Wanda from becoming Scarlet Witch.
The Hex was probably at least partially made by Chthon, who resides in Wandas subconscious. Chaos Magic is Chthon's magic. Wanda must become the Scarlet Witch to make the chaos magic truly her own. The Mind Stone showed her she must become Scarlet Witch. There is no other path.
He literally writes in the Darkhold that Wanda will be "forged" which means smashed until she becomes his vessel. Chthon binded his soul to hers when she was born. This also means she has high immunity to the Darkhold. She must use the Darkhold to study Chaos Magic. There is no one who can teach her.

In general, I appreciate that Marvel is making a concerted effort to stop killing its villains. One thing about the finale that worked for me was Agatha's fate, because it's a lot more creative than "She dies while fighting the hero". So, they would absolutely know what Wanda gave up to save them, they just wouldn't forgive her.

The part that I feel that is missing the most is the connection between Wanda and Monica that had been established through the first 7 episodes; two women confronting trauma together and finding solace in their pain being understood.
The show positions them as two super-powered heavyweights each with parallel emotional struggles, and gives that positioning no resolution. Monica's admission that she would've brought her mom back just doesn't tie up her emotional arc, I feel. I really think these two were meant to grieve together, and then Wanda could've had the chance to say goodbye to Vision and the kids on her own terms.
I really don't think Monica is used at all to her full potential or even original purpose in episode 9, and while we get the stinger that she's going to space with Fury, her feelings are still very much unresolved.

I agree wholeheartedly. I was really frustrated Monica wasn't used in the best way. It would have been so much more satisfying if she played as more of a mentor to Wanda. It would have led to lots of character development to the both of them. And Monica could have helped her with grieving over the hex & her family being gone. Or possibly aiding her with her powers and being a moral support. Rather than that half assed goodbye she gave on the finale. I was at the very least incredibly disappointed with the wasted potional Monica got. They hyped up her relationship with Wanda way to much. When in reality it just turned into a very transparent useless not very deep rooted relationship. 😒

I do love the line you suggested from the Merchant of Venice though, but think it would be lovely as Vision and Wanda's final words to each other, right before Vis disappears along with the hex.

That one line - no one line- is enough to actually show the depths of what psychological horror that is- as someone who has both been suicidal and had loved ones who are suicidal - it feels like the writers tossed in the line that they people wanted to die without any thought about how to show the consequences of that - I feel loved WandaVision, but that handling of the end stuff makes me incredibly angry.

My change would be to actually have Agnes, the character Agatha's playing in Wanda's show, actually play a more antagonistic role in all the plot lines of those earlier episodes. Only to flip it by the end to mesh with your change being that Agatha was only trying to understand what Wanda is and find a way to fix all this. That would've been a more interesting twist than the run of the mill villain thing.
Because as it stands, she doesn't really do enough to warrant the whole "It was Agatha all along" thing. Sure, _some_ of the things she does starts shattering the illusion of Wanda's world, but the SWORD team is equally responsible for all that. Her presence doesn't make that big a difference in the end because of it. So if Agatha has a more active role in the earlier episodes and SWORD just has a minor presence, then the whole story centering around her in the end makes more sense.

Hayward did everything right but he's treated like some sort of bad guy and every person keeps saying "you're going to jail" Ok but why? He has the authority to take out wanda, she's a threat. Two possible issues with this:
First, Ross is supposed to appear in Black Widow, which was how he is probably going to go into she-hulk.

@@willtheboredguy3556 The reason I associate replacing Hayward and setting up Monica's future is because without including SWORD, her plotline doesn't really get explored, and I don't think that Ross should be put in charge of SWORD from a narrative perspective, because it wouldn't really make sense for him to be in charge of some agency that he hadn't been involved in or even named by any characters up until that point in the timeline. (Spider-man: Far from Home takes place after the MCU Disney+ shows that have been released so far)

    • @willtheboredguy3556
      @willtheboredguy3556 3 года назад

@@lordgiacomos2551 your point about Far From Home doesnt make sense because he wasnt in that movie. That is completely unrelated.
Your entire argument boils down to "SWORD is new to the MCU, so Ross cant be invloved in it" which makes no sense because SWORD seems to be an government organization. Ross is a high ranking member of the military, a part of the government. SWORD lost it's leader for 5 years, and we dont know what Ross was doing during those 5 years. SWORD and Ross are not two completely seperate entites. One is a organization focused on Meta-Humans, and the other is a guy who hates Meta-Humans.
One last thing, your issue isn't one based on narrative like you claim. It is actually more based on worldbuilding and internal logic of the story.
I mean, you could have brought up issues relating to Ross not being relevant to this Wanda story, which would be a narrative related gripe, but the SWORD stuff and the Wanda Sitcom stuff are very disconnected and Hayward isnt related to Wanda either. In fact, Ross knows Wanda through the Avengers. She caused the Sakovia Accounts with her fumbling of the bomb, and the Accords are the only reason Ross is in Civil War.

I think there’s a certain level of recognition in the rewrite that marvel and disney do not want wanda to end this series as full villain. this version allows the show to have a meaningful conversation about grief and a level of responsibility still attributed to wanda without completely blowing whatever marvel clearly has planned for her in the future. in a perfect world, yes, we could avoid the split wanda and just let her be the morally ambiguous character we know she is, but based on the ending we got and how much it downplayed the pain wanda caused, i think it’s fair to say that’s not what disney wanted for the character at this point in her arc. the split wanda gives them an out that is still fairly satisfying to viewers.

@@emiliohernandez7214 i guess thats nice, but id honestly almost rather havr a different character take up a CADMUS role if thats their plan since they did him so poorly here. They have a major uphill battle with him if they want to use him again.

I dunno what show you were watching, but it was pretty clear to me that Agnes was a full on villain, not someone genuinely wanting to help Wanda.
Pretty great changes, though I don't understand how Agnes was so confusing for you, personally.

I think the problem is that many viewers think that Agatha either needed to be her friend or to be manipulating/fighting her from the beginning. But what happened is that Agatha was a villain. She just didn't know the full story from the beginning.
Agatha found out about a powerful source of magic, started investigating and then after understanding what was going on, then, only for the latter parts of WandaVision, she started manipulating things to try and set Wanda up so she could absorb the magic for herself. The song also indicates that she was AGATHA all along, not Agnes. It doesn't necessarily mean that she was the reason for EVERYTHING, just that she'd been manipulating things for a while.
I think an even simpler fix for the show would be to reveal that Agatha is the one who led Wanda to find Vision's body and to push her to release her emotions so that Agatha could study her. Then it would have still been Wanda's fault, but Agatha WOULD have been behind it all along.

Idk for as choppy as the last episode was, I didn’t mind Agatha’s mind wipe. I kind of hope when we see her again she is fully aware of the fact that she is trapped being a chipper townswoman, but full on admits she hates her life and wants to be an evil witch again.

I have been thinking about this too, and i would solve the finale a different way: the emotional pain that Wanda goes through causes her powers to go out of control, and she creates what it is basically a magical black hole. The world she creates around it is not only to be emotional therapy, but to protect the outer world from the destruction. Then when Agatha takes Wanda's powers, it turns out the Wanda we've been following is also not real, and the real one is in a coma like state in the centre. This ties to the prophesy that she will end the world, but Agatha realizes Wanda needs her help. If you want Agatha stuck as the noisy neighbour, you could have Wanda and her trade places at the end. I'm sure Darcy would know about the energies of a black hole too, so she could perhaps discover it. Then you could have an exchange between Monica and Agatha, where Monica makes the point of the sacrifice Wanda made, trying to see her heroic side, whilst Agatha can make the point that she could've protected everyone without the sitcom, so it's more nuanced about what she did. In the series Wanda gets away with too much imo

This is really some of your best work, and a much better way to handle what Wanda did to the people of westview

I love this so much and I think it would've made a lot more sense than what we actually got
