Love this! We are a family of nine moving to Ghana and my girls have started learning Twi. I agree with Ivy with the ‘brofolizatiion’ of our Twi:) My daughter mentioned some words she has learnt from her Twi app and I didn’t even know lol. The video is on our channel. By the way Ivy’s Twi is great. Great family. Keep up the good work!

Amazing stuff Aseda and Nhyira! Nice to watch Ivy up, close and personal. First met at the national chocolate day at Alisa Hotel last year. Cuz Michael and Abena well done for bringing up two confident kids with such an infectious appreciation of their african and ghanaian heritage. It's indeed cool to be clear. Keep discovering...
Thank you so much Cousin Charles. You've always been an inspiration! Thanks for paving the way!! We'll continue to unite to push the narrative forward! Nyame Nhyira wo paa!!❤❤💯💯
I'm a university student and I just discovered this video. I really love your mission to inspire African Youths to connect with their home continent and embrace their roots. As for me personally, I am thinking of ways to do *ETHICAL* investments into the African continent. By ethical, I mean businesses started by locals and develop agriculture/infrastructure/education sustainably. I'm glad that I don't have to see another video on "donate to the poor people." Instead inspire the youths and let them transform the continent for better in the future!
Hey @Alan Makoso. What a wonderful initiative!! Young people like yourself are exactly what the continent needs!! Collaboration and empowerment is what is needed. We're behind you 💯!! Look out for our season of inspirational youth!! Looking forward to seeing and supporting you in all your greatness!!🙌🙌
@@DestinationAfricaGroupTV My father is from DR Congo but my mother is not from Africa. I am not sure whether locals would accept me because of this. One thing I do believe is that over time, it is what you do that matters rather than your parent's race. If I show commitment to local language/culture, show understanding in politcs/current events and take action to help (not charity, investment), they should see me as a friend and not foreigner. Almost forgot to like this video. Glad I remembered.
@@alanmakoso1115 Your father's connection makes the culture, language and traditions a part of who you are. Immerse yourself in your culture. I hope you continue to pursue your dream of making a difference. Thanks for subscribing and liking the video. We look forward to interviewing you soon.💯💯
Well done to you 2 beautiful and blessed children. You do not only make Mummy, Daddy and your immediate friend's and family proud - myself and so many other's are equally very proud of you both. Your immense confidence projects itself through your clear and unwavering voices 🙌🙌🇬🇭🙌🙌
This is Aseda and Nhyira. @Auntie Stella, we really appreciate your support and encouragement. We'll keep aiming to make you proud. Thanks for watching❤❤
Love this vid. I love that this guest KNOWS who she is--even tho she doesn't necessarily speak the language thoroughly. I'm a swazi-zulu-american raised in USA. I only speak English. Growing up, i remember having whole adults who were born & raised in Africa ask me for my pedigree. When I'd tell them, as a teen, they'd dismissively tell me that I WASN'T who i am--simply because i ONLY speak English. I look just like an Eswatini. It's undeniable. Altho I'm 100% black, I've always felt biracial. My African-Americans didn't exactly embrace me due to my upbringing. And then the African-continentals often rejected me due to such a small part of a human--their language. Its ONLY Africans that will reject their OWN over small nuances. A Chinese person born in USA is still embraced by Chinese-continentals. Same w Arab-americans, etc. The African has already experienced sooooo much involuntary separation. But an African is an African--no matter the language or geographic location. Because Africa is inbred. Peace peace
