Uncredited work might even be a bigger deal than unpaid in the long term. I had a bunch of grief over some ghostwriting I did, trying to get another publisher to acknowledge me when requested for some applications. They might have been legally required to disclose when asked directly but I had no money to fight it.
I was surprised to see how many people questioned why this was a big deal. As a content creator myself, whether paid or not, our body of work is all we have. The whole notion drives me batty.
Interestingly, Lilley was a highly placed manager for Evil Genius Games, which has been involved in some controversy surrounding the company delving into the use of NFTs and AI content, among other things. She was one of the many who resigned in protest when these plans came out. Knowing how Hasbro is likely chomping at the bit to get a piece of the same action as EGG, I'm not surprised they'd try to cut out someone who's been on record as being against it.

If a person you knew treated you the way WotC and Hasbro treat us, how long would you remain in contact? Why people keep giving them money says more about them I think.
Just like in the goverment...you never know if this is a mistake because of incompetence or bad faith.

I'm fairly sure that the content was not "work for hire" so if WotC is using it and not publishing the names of the creators, I would suggest a lawsuit--especially if the content is original IP that was ported into that website.

SPOILER: Capitalism ruins EVERYTHING.
After some of the things they've "contributed" (read: removing things for absurd reasons, making 'rules' that players already used as house rules for decades, ensuring every other page has some homosexuality)- I can understand why their names were removed.
And to be fair, even the most decent among them would probably not want their name tied to this current trash fire.
