Milk Froth: Setting 4
Milk amount used: At the minimum mark
If you wanna practise some latte art at home, Nespresso Creatista Plus would be a good choice for you. The thing is this machine doesn't make super concentrated espresso like Starbucks or COSTA does. You have to be carefully that pouring too much milk inside to mix with CREMA (brown surface). That implies that you won't have enough milk anymore to make latte art. Please make a good control of the amount of milk when making latte art.
Usually, latte art should be divided into two ways:
1.Pour Vertically (Pouring/Infusing milk and mix with the crema): You can pour it into the middle of the coffee when titlng the cup. (If you don't, the crema can be broken easily. IMAGINE you are jumping into a swimming pool. You can understand that jumping into a tiled swimming pool is safer and deeper. Okay, if you understand this idea, this is what you need to do. Make 2-3 loops but don't pour too much milk inside because if you use up all the milk, only lots of thick foam will be left behind.
2.Pour Horizontally (This happens just after I stopped pouring/infusing milk into the cup.)
Now Make sure that the cup is titled at an angle. The mouth of the milk pitcher should be at the nearest position with the surface of the mixed crema. Now it's time for you to practice wiggling. Wiggle and Wiggle and observe what makes the best for your latte art patter. Don't wiggle too forcibly and you should keep wiggle in a natural way while untilt the cup slowly at the same time. (PS: Believe it or not. If you don't untilt the cup, the milk will be poured everywhere.)

30 seconds into the video was enough for me. Suggest re-upload without the music if you got the original footage still. Or make a new video
Thanks for your video! Unfortunately, the music is too loud and I can't hear what you're saying.
omg its like sitting for a lesson at a rave club...what's with the loud music when the voice is already so soft??
Hi What temperature (hot or ideal?) do you froth the milk? thanks
Potato Matt I use warm only (it should look yellow in the thermometer screen, just twist one mark before ideal temperature) I have tried hot before but it was bad. Don’t ever use hot or very hot! The milk can’t withstand too high temperature and the taste becomes bitter. Every mark you rotate is approximately 2 degrees
The best temperature of milk is between 60C and 70C.
The music is way too loud. I couldn't hear what you were saying.
Rubia_Bella sorry
Does the minimum line of the jug provide two cups of latte? I've had mine for a week and I seem to notice that the minimum line is too much milk for one cup of latte.
Hamad A
I was wrong to pour two cups in this video
The minimum line of the jug is only for 1 cup of latte.
Just dispose the remaining frothed milk like what the real barista did :)
I worked for Starbucks before and they didn’t really use the last bit of milk either.
the remaining milk must be disposed because you couldn’t use all of the remaining frothed milk. If you used them, they look like thick foam rather than thin ones. So just finish up your latte art when the thickness of milk is just about perfect. Dispose the remaining milk as you wish.
What kind of milk are you using whole , reduced fat? And what’s the milk temperature set at?
Of course you use whole milk!
Never use reduced fat
Milk temperature doesn’t matter
I tried at any temperature and they both worked I used the highest temperature and it worked too! But I would recommend you to choose high temperature because it definitely works perfectly fine at that temperature
Baegirl N whole milk
milk temperature just hot
What setting do you put the milk on? What froth amount?
Chris Caram setting 4
Froth amount is at just right at the minimum mark. The amount of frothed milk can make two coffees with latte art as well
howard ngai thanks
@@Scrotumslap keep mixing the milk. watch 0:11 how I frothed the milk
