- Nestled latex mattress topper is the bestselling mattress topper on Amazon. We got it to address a problem: a mattress that is too firm. So we looked for a solution to make the mattress softer. However, we didn't want it to sleep warm like memory foam so we chose latex. We also liked the idea of a natural product. This is a queen size 3" mattress topper in soft by Take Ten.

I have a queen size Nestled mattress topper.
Nestled is my first choice for a natural latex mattress topper because it came with a cotton cover included and got such high ratings. It's a bestseller on Amazon which means it outsells other brands. There are almost 4,000 reviews.
We were given this latex topper for review. This is a 3 inch soft, queen size, natural latex mattress topper with an organic cotton cover.
Nestled is made with 100% Natural Dunlop Latex. The advantage of latex is that it doesn't off-gas toxic compounds. In addition, it's naturally anti-microbial and dust mite resistant. So a latex topper creates healthy barrier between you and the foams in your bed.
You can choose from natural latex or organic latex. The COVER is made of organic cotton and the inside is natural latex.
Be aware that natural latex is not manufactured. It's made from the sap of a tree and is poured into molds. You'll see holes in the top. This means the product won't be perfect like a factory made product. There are factory made latex products that are made with petroleum which are more consistent but they don't have the same properties as natural latex.
Won't Sink Like Memory Foam
Latex has a unique feel that's not like memory foam. You don't sink into it and get too hot.
How to Know What Thickness to Get
Nestled latex toppers come in two thicknesses; 2 inch or 3 inches.
Back sleepers will probably be ok with a 2 inch but side sleepers concentrate more weight on their shoulders and hips. We need more cushion. So we'd get a 3 inch. We went with the more popular 2 inch but wish we'd requested a 3 inch.
Latex Topper Densities
Latex comes in different densities. Nestled offers 3 densities: soft, medium or firm. Most commonly people use soft or medium to soften a mattress.
A firm density is ideal if you are trying to fix a sagging mattress and you want to get a few more years a life out of it. Note that it will still take some of the shape of the sag but it will at least give you quite a bit more support.
Why You Need a Cover for Your Latex Topper
One thing that we liked about Nestled is that you get a cotton cover included with your latex topper. This is important.
We recommend that you get a mattress topper with a cover to protect the latex from tearing and breaking off.
Some of Nestled competitors charge extra for a cover.
Trial and Warranty
You have a 30 day trial and Nestled will cover the return shipping charges within the 30 day trial period for undamaged returns. To be sure your topper isn't damaged, get a mattress protector. Put in over your topper before you sleep on it. Bonus: it also protects your mattress.
5 year warranty. This Limited Warranty does NOT cover the following:
Damage to the product due to improper handling of the mattress or from burns, spills, body fluids, etc.
Thank you for covering slippage on this topper. I recently removed the topper I did have on my bed, because EVERY night, it would slip down about 2 inches from the head of the bed. No matter which way I flipped it. My pillow would drop into the cavity and I'd wake up with aches and pains. I tried so many tricks to try to keep it in place, but none of them worked. It was so annoying to pull it up every night so I could sleep well, that I just took the darned thing off. I'm not waking up with aches and pains now, but the mattress that was under it is a lot more firm than I like. A topper that doesn't slide is a HUGE consideration for me.
It sounds awful! I like mattress toppers that have straps on the corners or those nonskid dots on the back. I find it helps to put a well fitted mattress protector and sheets over the mattress and topper to help keep it in place.
i like the idea of this topper rather than buying a whole new mattress
The flaws are not due it's being natural... the flaws are due to lack of quality control. I odered a topper that had 2 spot where 16 pinholes were completely missing, causing that section to have a different firmness than surrounding areas. Missing pins in a latex mold is not just normal and natural.
Could you drill an equivalent sized hole to compensate?
It is a budget mattress topper (for latex). Thanks for the correction.
I have the organic 3 inch topper. I love it
Is there any smell? And how is it holding up?
looks like you have the same mattress as I do from bob's furniture , and looks like you got the medium latex mattress topper , at the moment I only see soft that they have also worried about the smell they produce when it gets hot.
Natural vs organic which one is best and at what density
Nice video, thanks. Do you place the topper above your top sheet or under the fitted sheet?
Thank you, I put it under the mattress protector and the fitted sheet. Helps keep it from slipping.
How firm is latex like would a medium or firm be closer to memory foam? I want longevity but I don’t know if firm is like a futon mattress/floor. Thanks
No it’s not as firm as a futon but if you’re comparing it to memory foam it’s not going to sink in as much. I’d pick medium over firm.
For back and neck pain will this give comfort without pressure
Yes, since it's made of latex, it won't sink in over time, including more on heavier parts of your body, such as your back. Memory foam is comfortable but it molds to you more as it warms. This can throw off your spinal alignment.
Do they short change the topper or is it flush with the mattress? How strong is the smell? Are there any repairs, seams sealed, or defects?
Mattresses are all different sizes, even one can be different from another from the same brand. I think this was pretty close. No to repairs, changes or defects. This is a value brand so it’s not perfectly even but it’s good enough for most people for the price. It’s a bestseller for that reason. But if you want it more perfect then you’d pay more and go for a higher end brand.
The queen with extra cover is almost $370 with tax. Do you know of any others under $400? Have you tried sleep on latex? Ty
Do you sink into this topper and does it have good support?
You do some but not like memory foam...it does have decent support. This is a soft but they come in medium and firm too.
What do they mix into the latex? If it was 100% latex it would be extremely hard and heavy.
It's air
Will medium be ok if a 200 lb side sleeper
Yes but get a 3 or 4 inches thick one.
@@UnboxMattress I got the 3” medium and then a wool mattress pad to relieve pressure points
I want to add bounce to my memory foam mattress. Which topper should I get?
Nestl is a great choice because latex is as bouncy as you can get...
Did you find the soft 3" to be too soft?
To me it all depends on the mattress under it. For the firm bed we had it was just right.

Dunlop vs Talalay Latex?
Dunlop is more firm
