The immobilizer does not know the secret code of the ECM and vice versa, yet both are able to validate the code which is generated from the other when they key is turned or the button is pushed.
So what you are saying is that I I have canbus device reading network, when key is presented i will receive two messages from both key ECU and ECM, and they will look random in data ? My question is can I emulate something for immobilizer to be deactivated and car turned on ? I would have training session on canbus sniffing when correct key is presented, and I would be capable of reading all messages and generating my won messages. So you are telling me I cannot generate any messages that would turn car on ? I don't see a reason for "evolving, meaning changing " data generation on canbus. It could be static and just as safe. since if someone could sniff traffic then correct key is presented, that means it is already defeated security. My goal is connect Bluetooth device that could act as emergency key, is paired mobile phone is connected

I have no power at that pin out from key ecu module. So i wonder why is that if its supposed to be 12v all the time, all other pins check ok. Could it be an iternal key amplifier short and key ecu turns it off? Thank you.

Great video! can i ask you. The immobiliser on the motorbike i just bought, have a strange working which i didnt notice when buying and could reallly lower the resalevalue for me. The system works and bike starts, but the status diode stays steady on in all the cases it should be off. It does blink when key is out like it should, but it just stays on when i drive. Could this be a electronics fault in the diodecircuit? i didnt think so since it blinks when it should, but if reverse voltage or somthing can also make it blink depending on diodecircuit?

Hi. Can i use a similar antenna ring from a similar immobilizer to replace my damaged antenna ring? Can i simply solder it in? Everything is original and i have both original chipped keys. Thief damaged it, code says key is invalid. Thank you for a wonderful video
If only coil is damaged the you can replace coil from another unit and it should work. As coil has no code in it. But the rest of electronics contains code inside for some models and some don't. The real understanding could be by doing some experimentation by replacement.

It happens to my Nissan sunny 2002 immobilizer was malfunctioning and technician told my car ECU is faculty and replacement needed, but after everything done nothing happened then he told that the immobilizer has problem and he replaced it.... and it's starts works fine.
