    Totally agree about the holsters, every one I have is junk.
    Great review sir!

    The "ugly green" tint you refer to is the trademark of the Luminus SST & SFT LED's Luminus really needs to do something about it,the green tint is particularly noticeable at low levels,ie 30-150lm

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  Год назад +5

      Definitely. But this SFT70 didn’t look that bad at all. Even lower levels

      @@ChrispyThings Yeah they must be working to correct it because I have the Klarus XT11GT pro,which has a SST70 in it & it is GREEN 30lm,but then again my Fenix TK16 V2 has the same emitter & it's not green at all so it might be earlier iterations that were much worse.🤔

      To be honest you need to compare the different sst 70s and sfts 70s in different fenix lights. On the tk20r v2 it's a very close to white. If it's the e35 v3 and the pd36 tac it is slightly noticeable. After you have broken in your light the green is barely there

      @dkin Год назад +2

      I don't like the missing 150 mode. On the tk20r v2, Eco is 30, low is 150, med is 350, and throws farther than this

    Good reviews as always! For me, the negative side is that there are only 4 modes instead of 5 like on the TK20R v2.0. The 150 Lumen mode is missing...I don't understand why Fenix chose to do that. For the rest, this flashlite seems excellent! Do like better this model than the Tk20 V2.0?

    Man your flashlight reviews really are some of the best 👍
    I really like how you show the different outputs for long enough to get a good idea, and most importantly you show the beam in a dark but not completely dark environment.
    Cause any light looks bright in the complete dark , so i appreciate that you show the beam in a real life usage situation .
    So to sum it up : great review mate 👍 !

    I am a Fenix flashlight owner and do appreciate their sound products, I do agree with your high points and low points on this particular flashlight. The hidden battery power warning light should be visible and two other points you brought to this great review, yes the holster modification should be noted by Fenix for a better upgrade design and I my opinion this flashlight I would price it at $99.95 not any higher. Thank you for the great review that provides a reliable perspective for everyone..!

      @@ChrispyThings I don't think so actually. I'm not sure that I like the half presses to go through the modes and the memorized strobe. But I love the rotary mode selector and the hidden USB port. And that grey is 🤌 good review!

    I absolutely love Fenix and have probably 10 of their lights but for the love of God can they just put out a bright light with a recessed tail switch and a bezel button to change modes? This switch is just another failure point.

    • @dkin
      @dkin Год назад

      A bezel button? Like the pd36r pro? Those some flashlights, turn on the light with tail switch and switch modes by side switch? I can never understand how u gotta swap holding positions. Tail stand is great but not always for tactical, the wings can obstruct the thumb operation

    • @a.c.2219
      @a.c.2219 Год назад +1

      @dkin I've been using Streamlights with recessed tail buttons for years without issue. The lack of good holsters for Fenix stuff means I have to carry it in a HSG mag pouch upside down and the non recessed tail button frequently causes the light to turn itself on. I put up with it because the brightness and durability is unmatched but if they sold recessed tail caps separately like Nitecore does I'd buy one immediately.

    • @dkin
      @dkin Год назад

      @@a.c.2219 I have lights that have a tail switch and can tail stand and I have lights with a tail switch that can't tail stand. I find that my thumb hits something if it's not fully centre vs the non tail stand light when I pull my light out quick to use. That being said, it's nice to have tail stand as a feature, but with these lights that are expensive I would not want to tail stand them and walk away especially if they are tactical lights. Yes Fenix could make better holsters.

    Can you signal with it in Tactical mode without cycling between strobe and turbo? In other words, will half presses from off cycle modes? Or just fire momentary?
