  • Here is the second of our Pro Maintenance Tip Series featuring Trent Phariss from our Prime Inc. Road Assist Department. He is showing you how to jump start a reefer unit on a tractor trailer. We are sharing these tips to help you save time and money. Please communicate any fix or maintenance with your Road Assist Advisor. If you do not feel comfortable jump starting your unit yourself, your Road Assist Advisor will help route you to a shop or get a service truck sent to you. Your Road Assist Advisor contact info can be found in the Prime Mobile App under My Contacts.

I wonder how to open this
    Right side on a carrier.
    The middle easy to open
But can't find any handles on the right " door"

It's the right door obviously lol. You kept trying the wrong one. 😝

What size of jumper cables you need to use??

I have a cascadia 125 with a modified extended frame, with a tk 700s Reefer unit. I’m using a 10’ or 12’ set of jumper cables and it’s about perfect. I’m 6’3” and if I fold the cables in half, the ‘U’ comes up to my mouth. Take that as you will. Hopefully that gives you a good idea for how long. :)
