Somehow the sound was lost for about half of this piece. That was not fun. However, I have seen the movie multiple times and found it utterly delightful and informative about6 Beatrix's life.
I absolutely love this movie!! The cast was perfect. The love story is wonderful, but the friendship between the women is so important! No swearing, sex, or violence. Just excellent storytelling. Wish the sound had not cut out.
The sound stops at about 14:50 so someone should go back and put it back. Thanks in advance! 8 billion people really should watch and discuss this great 'Miss Potter' from 2006!!! 1/20/2022

Sound lost at 14:54 and not regained until 19:33 but even then it's just music. Disappointing! Not even an explanation given. I was finding it interesting so if you can reload it with full sound? That would be good and really appreciated. I will save my 'thumbs up' for when it's reloaded with full sound.😁

She's not a women 'ahead' of her time. She's a woman OF her time, she was a conservative who wanted to RETAIN the natural beauty of her landscape. Don't forget that Hollywood wants to claim Englishness for itself. I am a MASSIVE fan of the movie that showed her character and any 'misogyny' was highly exaggerated.
Good movie. But Renee is a bit annoying. Why all the face gestures and puckered lips everytime she speaks or even face the camera?! Not good. Anyway I recommend it.
