Honestly I think Tyler genuinely liked Wednesday and cared about her. He saved her from rowan and never killed her even when he had the opportunity.

@@misiojelen but do you remember when she kissed him and then had this vision about him she literally fell in his hands but instead of taking this opportunity to harm her or even kidnap her and take her to his master which would have been a much faster way to acheive his master's goal he waited for her to wake up and make sure that she is alright so i really think that he liked her in his heart but didn't show that or because his anger and being manupilated by that woman he totally forgot about what he felt towards wednesday and just focused on revenge

After rewatching the show, I was able to see how manipulative Tyler really was. A scene that stuck to me was when he lashed out at Wednesday when he knew she was going to the dance with Xavier. This man really gaslighted Wednesday by saying "you keep giving me mixed signals" and "I thought we liked each other" like.. boy? You've literally been just Wednesday's errand boy. Where's all this "mixed signals" you talking about ☠️☠️
I don't really see that as manipulative per say cause if you look at there interactions you can see interest in the Wednesday does stuff towards Tyler in the show before he went all mumbo jumbo evil mad man as someone who has seen many characters like Wednesday I can say that she actually did change the way she acted towards him you can also see this with Eugene and Enid she reacts differently towards them over time
@@GoId3nWrId no no. During the point of Wednesday revealing Xavier is her date for the prom, Tyler said Wednesday was giving him mixed signals, which she never did. It was clearly a way to manipulate her lack of social skills and placing malice to her relatively non-sensual interactions with him.

Watch him have a redemption arc next season. He's heavily manipulated and controlled to begin with. I still think he genuinely has feelings for Wednesday. His 'evil' confession was just a way to spite her and to let her hear what she badly wanted him to be, the bad guy..
It's ok to ship the two together, it's your will and desire, nobody can take it away from you. But a Hyde is manipulated to kill in the form of a monster, but he cannot be manipulated in his ideals, lines or thoughts, even more human. That Tyler was really great for Wednesday, but it's a shame he didn't exist, he was a character. But it would be nice if he became that real Tyler and changed.

Or it was his Hide side breaking through. He was literally starting to transform as he said that to her. I bet it’s like a dual personality type thing and he didn’t actually mean it. It s kinda sad that she finally let herself fall in love, but got hurt in the end. She was afraid for falling in love and so am I. I won t let myself fall in love for anyone, because you will always get hurt in the end.

This show is great because they actually made me ship them. I wanna be a Tyler apologist and say that he was just being manipulated by that gates girl. Please turn him back, I love him, also the actor did a great job. Aside from the other guy I believe he was Wednesday’s other love interest, all he can do is frown. 😶
He was manipulated but all his actions were his choice as well as everything he said to Wednesday.
But a Hyde is manipulated to kill in the form of a monster, but he cannot be manipulated in his ideals, lines or thoughts, even more human.

I wonder if the "hyde" has completely taken over his mind or if something else is at play. Idk the crying seemed very odd for me, and made me think perhaps it wasn't his choice.

Season 2 theory: Tyler will go to rehab and learn to control his powers, but his father has no choice but for him to go to nevermore. Wednesday ends up coming back next semester and finds him. He is always with his roommate, who has powers to keep him under control. Wednesday cannot trust him so easily. When Tyler sees Wednesday he knows he will have to form a bond again. Tyler has always been in love with wednesday except his master just wanted him to manipulate her. Xavier finds himself dating Bianca again because of jealousy. After Wednesday starts liking xavier they have a relationship. As this goes on tyler and wednesday get close and n/a and xavier get closer. Wednesday has been in love with tyler still, but knows she can't trust him. If there is a stalker like the texts at the end of ep. 8, then tyler and wednesday will team up, with tyler's roommate, and enid. tyler will redeem himself and they will fall "in love" again. they find the stalker and I think it will be a hyde or a monster they've never heard of. So yeah, thats my theory. I hope we get episodes in the next year and a half-2 years.

I think, or at least I hope, that the show will aknowledge that him having violent impulses is an inherent part of what he is and not something he chose or can change (sorta a chronic mental illness or physical disease) so enjoying the sensation is as natural as breathing and it's unreasonable to resent him for it when he didn't actually get a choice in whether to kill or not, or who, cuz he was under someone's control. Now out of control, the desire to kill is like an addiction, and he just needs a reason to stop and the support system to help him manage the urge. And so Wednesday will have to grapple with her own feelings of betrayal while trying to decide what her responsibility is in his actions if she can't stop him and if she doesn't do everything she can to stop him without making herself into a killer too. I think exploring morality and personal growth with that much nuance sets up the stakes of a rehab arc (that I picture taking place at Nevermore, so Tyler as a Hyde can be studied), ESPECIALLY if we are blessed with Morticia taking over as Nevermore headmistress, since the Addams are personally fulfilled despite their violent tendencies. That would be perfect to round out the themes in yours and my own theories on how a romance and redemption arc could work from this point forward

I would actually think it’d be pretty badass if it picks up after he breaks out of the transport truck and he runs back through the woods leading to Nevermore and tries to find her in his cloudy rage filled state and we get a “ Suns getting real low” moment. Then he rips Christina Richie’s head off, then we go from there with the new threat of the season.

When tyler said "u keep giving me these signals" "i thought we like each other" i feel like this was manipulation of tyler making wednesday thinks she likes him in reality she never had to start with. Since wednesday doesnt know the concept of romance she interpret her actions towards tyler as romantic in reality its just her using tyler for her own convenience because tyler always seem to follow her words. 1. As much as he admitted to enjoy killing... Are we really going to overlook the fact this boy got groomed and manipulated to a horrible extent? It's his nature to obey to a master and he got a horrible one. How much could he do? I mean, isn't that the point of the whole Frankenstein's reference? Frankenstein's creature was good and only wanted to be cared for by his creator and yet he was doomed because of that creator. 2. I read a lot of people complaining about romanticizing abuse and toxicity... We're talking about Wednesday Addams here. The whole show starts with her attempting murder and smiling trhough It. 3. There's a lot of tension to explore there, I hope they do, however they choose to do it.
agree. I personally will not watch the season 2 if they're gonna develop romantic relationship with Xavier. As a character he is not bad, even intriguing, but he doesn't look great with Wednesday, and their interactions are awkward and boring. I want entertainment from movies or series of this kind. I want to enjoy what I watch, see something intriguing, something giving me chills. Like Spuffy, or something similar. And Xavier+Wednesday won't be that intriguing and interesting to watch. Because of that cancel issues lately everything is getting messed. up. Those people want to watch only "healthy" stuff, which are boring in the most of plots. "Healthy" is interesting in dramas or movies which are realistic, not in series about Addams family.
Tyler on the other hand, is interesting. He was interesting from the start, and got more interesting at the end. I am really curious how they're going to handle his character and how it'll be developed.

Listen there were signals and no likes to talk about it. Wednesday was constantly going back to Tyler for help, he's known her all of two seconds but knows that she's an independant person, he could think that she just uses help as a guise to talk to him. If you watch her body language and microexpressions around him it says a lot too. I think Tyler really did like Wednesday, his job as the Hyde was to keep an eye on her and keep her alive, it wasn't to get involved romantically. I think they try to keep him in a sympathetic light (showing his dad cradling his body after the last fight, for instance) because he's still going to be a part of Wednesdays life in later seasons. I hope we get to see more of what was him and what was the Hyde, or know more about when they started to blend together (I think it was after the bathtub scene)
Tyler is so much better off as the Hyde. It gives him a way more interesting story. I wanna see Tyler embrace his inner villain, and use it for revenge against the people who caused his mom's death. I also wanna see his dad apologize for the way he treated him, and have a whole emotional Father son moment. I feel like he could be a badass, tragic, and vengful villain who ends up using his powers for good. I see a route where he ends up at nevermore too, which if he does, he will be forced to face Wednesday and most likely end up forgiving eachother. They even might end up as lovers again, but honestly I don't want him get on his knees and beg for forgiveness, I feel like Tyler is way above that as a villain. I want Wednesday to end up liking Tyler first, but trying really hard to shove it so far down her, that it goes away, but it never does. Eventually she's forced for the great or good, to make the first step towards forgiveness, then Tyler ends up liking her as well, and after very slow burn, they finally put aside their differences, and give into their feeling's, but like, only at the very, very end. Like if there's a season 3 then this would only happen at the end of that.

I hope they don't make these two a thing. Tyler nor Xavier were my fave but they both evoked something in Wednesday and bought her out of her shell. I personally don't support this toxicity of a relationship becauseTyler doesn't deserve Wednesday but he does deserve happiness, and to learn about himself without a romantic link, like how Wednesday is finding herself at Nevermore. i honestly think Tyler had feelings for Wednesday- BUT WAIT- for those who don't agree!
i understand, i have thought through your ways and it makes sense!! but why i think Tyler
actually liked her because in Ep1 Tyler said " i wish i was coming with you, i wanna get
out of this hell hole town" meaning he wanted escape from his master ( laurel gates )
a Hydes are loyal to their masters but some were in the show it said Hydes are not completely
their masters thoughts and ideas, which means that he could have other feelings
other than being a monster the he was controlled to be. i hope he has a redemption
cause otherwise the show would not make sense.
