I've watched this more than tenfold in two days, I love how this ties lots of stuff together, explains how sidious became so twisted in figure after mace reflected his lightning, explains how palpatine could have a son and a granddaughter, also serves as a explanation of why Darth Vader was turned to the light by Luke, he wasn't a true Sith, he didn't embrace the cybernetic towering shadowy figure he became, he was actually willing to be cured of the illness. Amazing storytelling through such a relatively small piece. I definitely love how apparently to become a master of the dark side, one must be of singular eloquence, it's so beautifully written and still implies sense of dread. Everything related to the ancient Sith Lords are amazing. Plagueis was really wise.

@@hishaamabbasi5570 Still better than what Disney did to him
We needed more of these
A really interesting visual to accompany the novel. My only gripe, which I'll freely admit is a nitpick, is that Plagueis doesn't have his respirator in this part of the book. That doesn't come until the very end of Part 2, after the ambush at the Canded Circle.
It was likely to make the animating process easier.
If legends ever gets an adaptation. Then this should be included as a scene.
"Will I be eventually physically transformed?"
- "The dark side of the Force is a path way to many abilities some considered to be unnatural!"
"He just kept talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no-one had a chance to interrupt; it was really quite hypnotic."
We need Theory TO REPLACE KATHLEEN KENNDY
@Santa Claus One could argue Kennedy certainly isn't qualified to run Lucasfilm.
Her name is Kuntleen Kennedy, thank you very much.
YES WE DO
@Santa Claus Yes but Kennedy both doesn't understand the Universe AND isn't qualified to run a company...
@Santa Claus Then don't give him control of the entire company. Just give him control of the creative decisions. Let others handle the financial side
Awesome ass vid right here absolutly love it!
Disney: "This is not ca..."
Fans: "SHUT UP, BUNCH OF MEATBAGS!!!!!!!!!"
“Meagbags?”
Wait isnt this actually canon?
@@lichtheelumbu1698 Sadly no 😢
We like this Expanded Universe Canon,so be quiet or else you’re not that chill?
Shitbags*
Yes! I just finished this audiobook a few weeks ago. So good.
I must report this to the council
This animated video ia better than whole sequel trilogy.
I love the plagueis book
I've always wanted to get around to reading Darth Plagueis, but that clip (especially with all the KOTOR/KOTOR2 references) makes me think that'll be the next book I buy
Darth plagues the animated
This feels like a college lecture from a guy with a deep spooky voice. Not saying it’s not cool, because it is.
You should do a reaction to sad Star Wars edits
There’s this one called “Brothers” and it hits hard
Please make more of these; they're glorious!
Holy Fucking Shit! That was better than I thought, and I went in with high expectations. Thank you for this Theory. 🔥
His analogy regarding the light/dark side and glaciers/volcanoes to refute the Potentium Heresy was impressive.
We all know the High Ground method comes from Plagueis..
Lots of hard work Theory, appreciate it man. For a good minute I forgot that i was watching fan fiction. Until how you described lightening mutilated Palp, then I giggled.
Theory didn’t make the animation
@@JH50166 Oh yeah, big thanks to @nicholasdamiani and @starwarstheoryespanol, I thanked Theory just because he produced and published. But you're right, collective thanks to the crew.
This might be the first voice performance for the character. Cool!
That was incredible! I love that book!
the epicness of this cannot be put into words
I recognized the animation style of Nicholas Damiani immediately! So cool!
Just me that finds the backstory of the sith wayyyyy more interesting that the jedi?
Nope
You’re not alone on that statement
I could watch a whole show series this was great
LmaoI can't remember a thing that old fool said. Also love he colab with Nicholas!
Goddamn plagueis voice is amazing, not for nothing sheev waited him to get drunk and semi asleep to take on him, if plagueis really sounded like that he'd be twice scarier than Vader.
Hopefully this is what the palpatine show is meant to be like
Is that a thing?
This is great! I love seeing James Luceno's Darth Plagueis novel brought to life through animation.
I was waiting for this to turn into a freestyle rap battle
I asked for this video like 2 months ago. Thankyou for delivering theory "a surprise to be sure but a welcome one."
This is superior to anything the High Repugnant has released.
Nothing like being taught by a Sith Lord in my own living room. It is appreciated my master.
You did a great job with the Voices for Darth Plagueis and Palpatine the Animation was incredible
Plagueis looks like a mix of vader and palpatine combined.
Darth Plagueis is my favorite Sith Lord, I loved his Novel.
One of the best scenes from literally my favorite Star Wars novel. I was heartbroken when this was decanonized.
Disney really needs to make a show or a novel or comic that expands on Darth Plagueis backstory with the original novel providing the basis.
My favorite SW books. I can't stress enough how hearing the audio version brings additional richness, depth and understanding of the characters.
I love the dark voice, but can someone make subtitles? I can sorta kinda understand him, but not entirely.
I did the best I could
Plagueus *"Even the jedi understand there is no profit in partnering with a being who lacks the ability to understand what it means to be in the grip of the force. And so, the order restricts marriage by dogma, "in service" so the jedi say, for the purity of Oshla. But Oshla is a perversion, for the dark has always proceeded the light. In which the idea was to capture the power of the force, and make it subservient to the will of the sentient life. The Ancients, The Celestials, The Rakata, didnt pronounce judgment on their works, the moved planets and organized star systems, and conjured darkside devices like The Starforge, as they saw fit. If millions die in the process, so be it. The lifes of most being are of small consequence. The jedi have failed to understand this, they are so busy saving lifes and striving to keep the powers of the force balanced. But they have lost sight of the the fact the sentient life is ment to evolve, not simply languish in stasis. No doubt, the texts have provided contain references to the so call Pateniteum theory, that the light and dark depend on the intent of the user, this is yet another perversion perpetrated by those who would keep us shackled to the force. The power of water and the power of fire are entirely different, glacier and volcanoes both have the potential to trans form landscapes. But one does so by burying beneath, while the other spews forth new terrain. The sith are not stars, but singularities. We wrap space and time to twist the galaxy to our own design. To acquire that power require more than mere compliance what is needed it absenisty and tenancy. That why you must always be receptive to the curds of the dark side. For no matter how nimble you are or think you are, the force will show you no pity. As you've learned, your body sleeps while your mind is never at rest. A jedi sufficiently strong in the force, can be trained to produce an effect similarly, but not TRUE sith lightning. Which unabated has the power to not only incapacitate or kill, but to figuratively transform the victim. Force lightning requires STRENGTH of a sort only a sith can command, because we accept consequence and reject compassion. To do so require a thirst of power that is not easily satisfied. The force tries to resist the callings of the ravenous spirits. Therefore it must be broken and made a beast of burden , it must be made to answer to ones will. In order to summon and use force lightning properly, you must be on the receiving end of its power. As a means of taking the energy inside yourself."*
Sidious: *"Will I be ever be transformed?"*
Plagueus: *"Into some pale skin, raspy voice, yellow-eyed, monster you mean? Such as the one you see before you? Whether it will happen to you I can't say. Know this though sidious, the darkside does not debilitate the practicenur as much as it does those who lack it. The power of the darkside is an illness which no true sith would wish to be cured of."*
@@dillonb5317 Thank you.
Man nothing can compare to this masterpiece
Remember when star wars had great writing. Here we have a deep meaningful explanation of dark side philosophy and force lightning, and why only certain beings can use it......Disney star wars: Rey uses it by accident.
Can we please de-canonise the sequels?
No
@@bigstarwarsfan5714 You liked the sequel trilogy?
@@lordsidious83 yes and some others
@@bigstarwarsfan5714 I enjoyed the mandalorian and rogue one, but thought Disney destroyed the main star wars story with the sequels. Some nice visuals but terrible story

Yeah some people feel that way and I respect their opinions even yours
The only movie I did least like was TROS
but TLJ made me love the trilogy even more
Luke was my favorite part but it doesn’t mean it’s without criticism
Whoever voiced Plagueis, phenomenal work. I think this is how Plagueis' voice is or should be.
It was Theory himself 👍
Ironic that he is Vader’s Actual Dad that nobody knew..Until Luke learned much secrets about him.
