Intrinsically evil people without any evidence of a conscience are also usually guilty of other ‘actions.’
I was wondering whike this played, “how many other victims did he leave in his wake that he didn’t get caught, connected, or didn’t confess to?”
Then there’s the thought I often have when ‘first personing’ when I hear these stories: why is it so common these evil people always get reported as having “described in detail” the intricacies of their crimes? Because if “I” did something like that I couldn’t face myself in the mirror. I suppose that is the difference between myself being ‘normal’ and the depraved criminal monsters who somehow arrive at a place in their head where doing something horrific like this can actually happen. It makes no sense to us because we can’t imagine even taking the first step in these crimes, never mind concocting the rest of it all.

The woman married a homicidal child rapist & thinks she should be telling others how to view her husband? Since his crimes are ok with her, she's cut from the same cloth as him. She'd never turn him in if he got out & did it again, so, they're both monsters!

What a horror for those two young girls; to have that man’s face the last human face they would see in their brief lives. Second Degree?! That is an insult to the dead whom he willingly, knowingly murdered. His wife’s assumption that he deserves a second chance because his heart is in the right place is a prime example of the absurdity of denial. He has no heart. This man should never be let loose on the public again.

I'm from Western Canada, and this case was widely reported. It should be noted that this POS had previously killed a drunken man that had wandered onto the highway. He hit the man, then repeatedly ran over him going back and forth over his body. I believe this case wasn't solved until POS confessed.
If his heart is in the right place, it would seem the rest of us have our's in the wrong place. He's a dangerous, reckless murderer that needs to be kept away from society for the safety of the public.

I have a hard time believing that this kind of person can be rehabilitated and there's not usually much of that going on in jails/prisons anyway. I've looked into this myself:
The Families had been camping there previous summers and befriended David and company.
The mushroom picker "tip" came after SEARCHES done in area car was found.
It was summer and the vehicles could not have been burned at locations found - smoke.
The "remains" found in the trunk of the car were "very little" and were assumed to be the girls.
Locations of vehicles found in Park area were too far apart to have been placed by just one (1) person.
Complaints surfaced that David Shearing was / is treated well in jail. An odd thing for a sexual predator / killer. It is attributed to his family and family connections in CORRECTIONAL SERVICE.
DAVID SHEARING was arrested in Tumbler Ridge, BC and driven to Kamloops without restraints and in the front seat of the RCMP cruiser.
It was NOT a one man job. It was a conspiracy.

Because it's Canada, and being very liberal and soft on criminals is a way for the educated urbanites who make most of the criminal justice policy to feel virtuous and progressive (I'm a graduate of Criminology, Toronto Metropolitan University....fascinating subject, but always depressing to see how light some of the most monstrous criminals are treated).

A reward for simply locating a truck was 750k???!?

Because the truck was believed to be the biggest clue to finding the killer.

How many times have you heard of a wife being shocked to find out her husband was a killer, right? And here’s this gal who’s never even lived with the pos, never seen him in different situations, no life experiences together proclaiming she knows his heart and deserves a second chance. Give me a break.

This is why you never go camping unless you are armed. Six people lost their life like at a shooting gallery or shooting monkeys in a barrel. If the grandfather and father had been armed they could have stopped it or at least defending their family and themselves
