Considering this is their 4th tensor chipset, it will take years to finally catching up to qualcomm's chip. Look at Exynos, how long it takes them to catch up, now they're side by side.
Well, if the rumors are to be true and Google sent their T5 design to TSMC (Samsung no longer working on the future Tensor chips), then it should end up close to Gen2-Gen3 levels at the very least. We will have to wait and see what the T5 really brings in terms of performance and efficiency.

Your review was excellent, focusing on the key points without wasting time on specifications that can be found online. Thank you, my friend! By the way, you looked handsome
All phones have pros and cons, and choice is subjective to the user's needs. I have solved this by carrying two phones, currently the Pixel 8 Pro and the iPhone 15PM, and will keep both for a second year. I have had none of the issues mentioned by those complaining about the iPhone 15PM, so the improved battery life, thermals, and ultrawide camera (never used) are not persuasive. As for the Pixel 9 Pro XL, using Android 15 on my 8 Pro, my battery life has improved, and no thermal issues, so there is absolutely no reason to upgrade to the 9 Pro, especially as the secondhand & trade-in value of the 8 Pro means I would lose £800 in a year.
It is so sad to see that Pixel 9 Pro XL is not capable of recording at least 4k 30fps using OIS in videos. Even my middle-class Samsung Galaxy A55 5G can do 4k 30 OIS. But overall, a good looking phone, long term and improving software, Video Boost, Material You theme and the display are amazing. Thanks for the review again! Love your content, you are my idol! 🙃
Material You is Android 12 old and Video Boost takes hours sometimes a whole day to process. The thing I hate the most about Pixel phones is how long it takes to process a single picture, it's annoying.
@@jevonsims900 yeah maybe the material you is not that new but it looks quite catchy to me. And yeah you are totally right abot the processing power. It is so bad that even thr maxed-out overpriced pixel's performance is so weak compared to similar price pointed phones. They need to improve performance while keeping the power consumption low. And I think the processing speed of taken photo is all about yhe weak NPU inside. They did not even update it since 2022, just overclocked it.
So on the pixel 8 pro it does use the earpiece for speaker phone but it uses the depth reader in the screen and when you put your face up to it, it would turn off. Same as the pixel 9 pro. Also, I prefer the placement of the loud speaker at the bottom better on the 9 because every time I use my phones speakers I cup my hand around the bottom firing speaker to bounce the sound directly up and now it does this naturally as I hold it. Once you get used to this new orientation, you may like it more. It just seems like muscle memory to me.
I am a good old google phone user and the thing you said about putting a call on speaker and voice comes from both bottom and ear piece speaker is not pixel 9 pro exclusive, currently I am using Pixel 7 pro and it has the same feature. Even my nexus 6p (my phone before pixel 7 pro) had the same feature. Do some research before claiming so called "pixel 9 pro exclusive features." Love the review! There are still several things you didn't mention that I think are very relevant for most of the people: -Zoom animations looks UGLY and choppy, to say the least. Iphone is years ahead, and Samsung much better too at this. -Video recording does not support switching to front-camera, as Samsung. -Pixel phones does not support any kind of casting for most of the TVs. Samsung and Apple supports that easily. That is a deal breaker. -Social networks picture / video upload is still worst than iOS, by a big margin. -Even though picture quality I do agree that can be better than the rest, video quality is clearly behind Samsung and Apple. -Quick charge has improved but still waaay worst than other Android phones (not the ones from your video but Oneplus, xiaomi, etc). -Pixel 9 PRO still has scrolling issues. That is still NOT acceptable. This is being the case since they migrated to Tensor chips, and I hope that they will fix it next year with the comeback of TSMC, as it seems is a hardware issue (it has improved in Android 15 but it is still BAD compared with Samsung and Apple).
Please make videos about Pixel 6pro in 2024 Pixel 7 pro in 2024 Etc, so that people get to know the difference in features that Google is creating For example lens switching comparison of pixel pro phones in 2024 etcc

@@IDTR RUclips shenanigans probably. I like the video and agree with most of your findings. I do have issues with my wifi, where my Motorola Edge 30 pro can transfer around 900MBit/s the 9 Pro XL only gets 550MBit/s. The signal is lost sooner too. The other issue is the autofocus of the main camera. The auto focus circle is shown, but something else is actually in focus. It doesn't happen all the time, which makes me think it's a software issue.
Your heavy workload test is a ram management test, super unrealistic in real world use. When using any single app side by side the Pixel is stomped. The bias in your reviews are crazy. Youre just manipulating viewers into thinking the Pixel is holding up to the other 2 yet it's so far behind. If anyone is considering a purchase please do more research and look at a couple of comparisons as these videos are going to give you a VERY misleading take on the day to day use of the pixel. It's significantly behind in performance, graphics, and it loses most of the camera comparisons from the big reviewers. Eg. in here he's choosing photo examples where the pixel does better yet in almost every other camera review on youtube it's usually getting it wrong. And search for video boost examples, it's got huge problems with stuttering and flickering even in daylight.
@@allinfojoint2759 That's fine, for basic use. Problem is they are the same price and yet it's significantly behind in so many areas. If you're only doing basic stuff then sure, it's good enough. So is a 2020 phone most likely, but people aren't spending 1k+ on a 2020 phone. Pixel 9 has worse graphics and can only achieve about half the frame rate in all the latest games, it's pretty much a no go on video editing, and it's going to last hours less during periods of medium-heavy use when travelling. These are all limiting things that the other devices don't have. + It isn't the best camera anymore, so what is the selling point that makes up for all the drawbacks? It's not even best at AI. It has nothing to offer anymore except niches like call screening.
Yeah but neither the of the previous tensor phones performed this well with the same parameters. Pixel 6 7 and 8 all failed the same heavy workload test. 9 with tensor g4 is a huge deviation from that trend. In not only finally passing the test, but outperforming the competitors with their uselessly overpowered chipsets. Give credit where it's due 🤷
@@joniljoseph2934 That test only reflects the best case scenario. He could very well be allegedly manipulating the test by using a hair dryer on low heat primarily pointed at Samsung Galaxy S24U and iPhone 16 Pro Max causing throttling plus screen dimming in both phones.
my only complain with performance is with whatsapp video call. when i’m in one and then i put the video in PiP mode to do something else the Pixel 9 Pro cannot handle it and it runs at 30 fps every time

its android 14 in pixel 9 pro which makes it super smooth without any buy but just wait for android 15 and see how much pixel devices is plagued with bugs.
Every new update comes with bugs. That's logical because it's new. As it matures, they eliminate those bugs and it becomes even more stable. That's how every device and software platform works. Not a pixel or google specific thing at all. Besides, indepthtechreviews can only speak of his experience currently, not what it may or may not be in the future. One is conjecture and speculation versus fact.
If you are into gaming, stay away from pixel. They are pretty bad. I don’t know why you said the sustained performance on pixel is better than the others. But from what I watched on other channels about gaming test. Pixel is obliterated by most phones especially by apple. This video is quite misleading. Tensor g4 is still much worse than the competition. Just look at the benchmark.
Sustained performance doesn't mean the highest performance, this phone can keep things running for a longer time without dimming the display like others, I didn't say it's the fastest. In many incidents the 16 Pro Max and the S24U displays become too dark when I use them outdoors for a while, in contrast the Pixel stays for much longer.

"A lot of buttons to press" LOL
Cinematic pan is also 1080p ?
Bae where is review of Pixel Buds Pro 2?
In day to day activities every flagship can get the job done
@@allinfojoint2759 In day to day a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 smartphone for $300.00 and below works perfectly fine too.
@@joniljoseph2934 That test only reflects the best case scenario. He could very well be allegedly manipulating the test by using a hair dryer on low heat primarily pointed at Samsung Galaxy S24U and iPhone 16 Pro Max causing throttling plus screen dimming in both phones.
my only complain with performance is with whatsapp video call. when i’m in one and then i put the video in PiP mode to do something else the Pixel 9 Pro cannot handle it and it runs at 30 fps every time
Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I am curious with your accent, sometimes a bit Arabic sometimes a bit Indian.

Can retest the iphone 16 pro vs 15 pro after iOS 18.0.1 update
❤
Altra? It's Ultra.
nice
Dude! It's been a month since the release. "Still worth it" ???? Wtf are you talking about?
Of course it's worth it!!! Smh
Lot of buttons to press..
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL rules.
Can literally adjust the portrait blur. Go home
its android 14 in pixel 9 pro which makes it super smooth without any buy but just wait for android 15 and see how much pixel devices is plagued with bugs.
👍😊🙏
Very long time………1 month 😂
A lot buttons to press that iPhone users hates you 😠😠
