You should check out the architects series, it dives into the idea of aliens treating humans like ants, not even seeing them. Until they do, and it gets bad.
If youre doing more quinn videos, id recommend his 2 (or 3) videos on Blindsight. I also highly recommend the book.

Quinn is good peoples and a definite source on scifi in general.

Quinn is alright but tends to overblow a lot of what he reads as greater then it actually is. it is a nice way to get people hooked on a book without being an active reader too though. A great differentiation is Lovecraft. He boils monsters down to entities which i think is still fairly tolerable compared to for example The yellow king which is less about the yellow king but more so about a slow realization of the reader about Humanity and an idea that ties itself to your perspective once you grasp it. Having to grapple with a potential worldview come true can be more terrific then thinking about the 20th monster with tentacles that is described as "indescribable" you catch my drift ?

tbh i liked stanislav lems depiction of how planet inhabitants react to aliens in "fiasko" but its also an allegory ab the cold war so eh. still a heartwrenching time
The Dark Forest unironically reminds me of the Sword Logic philosophy from Destiny's Hive. Oryx would no doubt like this piece of literature.

Three Body Problem was weird. First book was do good, I instantly went to the second. Second was do disappointing, I didn't read the third. It was all downhill from there.
