  • People in Temperance, Michigan gathered to honor the life of a beloved high school teacher on Sunday.
They hosted a color run at Bedford High School for former English teacher Scott Earl who unexpectedly passed away in January.
Earl was the track and cross-country coach, so the color run was seen as an appropriate and fun way to honor him.
Students past and present showed up at the event.
"People from years and years, like I haven't seen in 15 years came back for the memorial. They reached out saying, 'What can we do to help out?’,” said Bedford teacher Scott Denniss, who organized the memorial. “The outpouring has been, just from all different parts of the community, not just the school, has been just amazing."
    Almost 400 runners participated.
